Really don't like the sound of this. If there had been a terrible accident, police wouldn't be calling it an incident, in my opinion.

Local press photographer calling this tragic incident and not accident, as well. :(

Tragic events at Whitecross near Polruan today. Any info on those involved would be greatly appreciated please (in confidence) (https://twitter.com/Kernowsnapper/status/604019032468111364?s=17)

No link yet but I strongly suspect this thread will need to be moved to crimes against children by morning, UK time.

From your link, mrazda. What many of us suspected, I think.

"I came down from the stairs and I heard somebody shouting for help so I looked out of the kitchen window and seen this lady sitting out on the patio, so I went out to see her and all I could see was blood everywhere and she said, "Her father's just stabbed her. Can you help me? Help me please, help me"... she was going.*

I just read in The Sun (no I didn't buy it!) that in the crash 4 years ago he had "tried to wipe out his entire family". Apparently they - him, wife, 3 kids - were driving somewhere on holiday and he deliberately crashed at 60mph. All survived, he was detained under MHA.

Awful to say but it sounds like they will be safer without him. Horrible situation.

It begs the question why he still had access to the child.
