"The third victim of the Westminster terror attack has been named by family as American tourist Kurt Cochran.

Mr Cochran, from Utah, was touring Europe with his wife Melissa, who was left with a broken leg but survived and is in hospital.

He was believed to have been knocked off Westminster Bridge on to a concrete underpass below."

May Kurt Cochran Rest In Peace. I can't imagine what his wife Melissa is going through.

That's obviously possible, but as a snapshot it did look insensitive.
Probably best not to make judgments about people's character based on a single photo.

I saw plenty of insensitive people of other races (and probably religions) in the photos. Tons of people just standing around. Staring. Walking by. I mean, one person filmed all of the victims while just walking down the street. Talk about horrible!

We need to be slow in coming to conclusions.

I was once a witness to someone have a seizure in a public place. People called 911, a nurse identified herself and attended to the man while others comforted his wife. I stood at a distance and eventually walked away. The victim was being taken care of - and there is a point when TOO many helpers can be a problem. I had no role to play at that point. If someone snapped a photo of me walking away, they could've assumed I didn't care, when I did care very much.

I just looked at Kurt Cochran's FB, full of pics of his European travels. He was in Germany last week and a friend jokingly commented on 16th "I guess you're never coming home then". He replied "One more week or so".

Seems they were at the end of their adventure. How tragic.

Love this. It's a tube station information board where they often write a "thought for the day".

All terrorists are politely reminded that THIS IS LONDON and whatever you do to us we will drink tea and jolly well carry on.
Thank you.

I am not sure if I am remember this right or not but wasnt there some sort of practice mock training in another terrorist attack right before the attack happened?

I think I recall in another attack that LE just happened to have some training going on either the day before or the day of even.

Cant remember which incident.

Maybe there is some sort of connection to cause terror in the face of people training to stop it.

Does anyone remember which one or the training it was in the other incident?

I could have sworn it was similar type thing about training or mock training and then terror happened.

Interesting question, maybe there are more of those coincidences, will check it out.imo

Police completed a terror training exercise which envisaged an attack on London's transport network just days before the 7/7 atrocity, an inquest heard today.

During the 'table top' drill, officers were asked to respond to imaginary bombings at Waterloo, Embankment and St James's Park Underground stations.

But there was absolutely no intelligence at the time to suggest such an attack was imminent, the hearing was told.

Exactly. Best not to use this as an excuse to target and try and shame one sole Muslim woman when so many others were doing far worse than simply looking at their phones.

Utah Man Kurt Cochran Among the Dead in London Attack

by Jon Schuppe and Chelsea Damberg

A Utah man celebrating his 25th wedding anniversary in London was among those killed in Wednesday's attack outside the U.K. Parliament, his family and church said.

Kurt Cochran and his wife, Melissa, had stopped in London during a tour of Europe and were planning to return home Thursday, a family spokesman said in a statement.

Melissa was seriously injured, the spokesman, Clint Payne, said in a statement distributed by the Church of Latter Day Saints.

"Our family is heartbroken," Payne said...

BREAKING: Islamic State group says through its Aaamaq news agency that the London attacker was a `soldier of the Islamic State'

Shocker.

So glad the people of the UK have chosen a different course for their country.

Sorry....I think my post is a bit misunderstood. I am just saying that those singling out one woman for being "insensitive" just because she's wearing a hijab is ridiculous. If she is insensitive, then so are many others in the photos. I don't really think those not helping are insensitive. Because there's often not much for random people to do. I have no medical training so if others there are more qualified, I would just be standing around too.

(I do think the person filming the victims is 100% insensitive though.)

Whoever wrote that might want to have a talk with the families of the victims

The attacker rented the car:

"A spokesperson for Enterprise Holdings said: “We can confirm that the car used in the tragic attack in London yesterday afternoon was one of ours. An employee identified the vehicle after seeing the licence plate in an image online. We ran another check to verify, and immediately contacted the authorities."

I would not expect them to say he was on their radar, imagine the fallout had they said he was being watched. Jmo

But like many of the recent jihadist attackers in Europe, he has a long history of other crimes - hence being "known to" the police.

It was not a policeman that shot the terrorist, it a bodyguard of Defence secretay, michael fallon. They need to arm their police officers. Jmo
