Isaac Morris, from Tavistock, left a property in Bristol at around 10.30pm on Thursday and has not been spotted since.
He is diabetic and doesn't have any medication with him.
The former Tavistock College pupil has lived in Bristol since leaving university in Sheffield.
His friends in his hometown of Tavistock are concerned for his wellbeing and say he could be back in the local area.
Isaac is white, has dark or auburn hair which is long on top, has a distinctive ear and lip piercing and a two lines of Japanese writing tattooed on his wrist.
