Why does she have two different names? She's not just known as Jackie Waines for her sex work, but some of her neighbours also know her by that name.

Jackie Waines is her real name. I'm not sure why the Linda Guest alias though, maybe hiding from something or just keeping her two lives separate?

I find the name situation confusing in this case!

The police thought the murder might be connected to the 1979 murder of Wendy Jenkins. Wendy was also a sex worker in St Paul's.

With the lack of a 40 year appeal, I'm wondering if Julie Mackay was right and A&S police have lost or thrown away key exhibits for Jackie, plus Shelley Morgan and Helen Fleet.

It fits in with the statement issued after A&S solved the Louisa Dunne murder, which IIRC was along the lines of 'don't expect similar successes in other cases'.
