A 26-year-old man with a tattoo on the left side of his chest is missing.

Joseph Gallagher was last seen in the Chorley area around 2am on September 1.

Police say they are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare after going missing from his home address.

Joseph is a white male, 6ft tall with short brown hair.

He has a slim build and a tattoo on the left side of his chest.

It is unknown what he was last wearing, but he normally wears tight tracksuit tops and bottoms.

He is believed to have links to the Chorley, Morecambe, Lancaster and Blackpool area.

A police spokesperson said: "We are now concerned for Joseph's welfare and are appealing for your help to find him.

"If you have seen Joseph or have any information, please call us on 101 quoting investigation number 04/142181/21."

Police say it is now six days since 26-year-old Joseph Gallagher was last seen in his hometown at around 2am on Wednesday, September 1.

Joseph's family are becoming "increasingly concerned" for his welfare and police are now seeking the public's help to establish his whereabouts.

It is unknown what he was last wearing, but his family say Joseph normally wears tight tracksuit tops and bottoms.

As well as his hometown of Chorley, the 26-year-old also has connections to Morecambe, Lancaster and Blackpool.

Joseph Gallagher was last seen in the vicinity of Chorley and South Ribble Hospital in Preston Road at around 2am on August 31.

The 26-year-old is described as 6ft tall, of slim build with short brown hair and a tattoo on the left side of his chest.

He was last seen wearing a purple jacket with orange shoulders/ hood, white polo shirt and dark tracksuit bottoms.

Joseph - who police say may also go by the name of Francis - is believed to have links to Chorley, Morecambe, Lancaster and Blackpool areas.
