If you go to 31:17 of the Crimewatch report then you have an image of what I assume is her bedroom. You can see no curtains and smoke damage up the one window. Without lining everything up, I assume the passer by has seen the flames from here. It's interesting how isolating the fire was from this image also. Nearby furniture undamaged, even clothes just with smoke damage. It looks like a fire was started in the middle of the furniture by the window, whether that is a bed or sofa I am unable to tell.

Looking for something else, stumbled onto this pic., probably too young to be the poi in Joy's case, but something about him.. so posting here just in case, speculation, imo, fwiw.

CCTV released after rape in Banbury alley near nightclub

He looks way too young to have been involved in Joy's murder 23 years earlier.

The age of the CCTV man is quite difficult to work out. 25? 35? 45?

The man in the CCTV seems to have quite a hunched or stooping back, and also seems to be wearing quite a formal shirt. My first impression was somebody probably older than 35, maybe in his 40s or 50s. Certainly not a youth.

I was going to say CCTV man looks to me like he has pretty bad forward head posture (tech neck). It might be a trick of the camera, or him leaning towards the intercom though.

The light shirt/jacket is something which makes no sense as an outfit for a rapist, knife murderer, arsonist, or clean up man after the event.

IIRC the recent appeal said the man was in his 30s.

If he was local, then I'm amazed nobody has recognised him, even from just the back of his head.
