It's a bit odd to arrest someone when they are not

I guess he used the Nike holdall to carry a drone and keep it flat. Otherwise he would use a ruckrack to carry his things.
It's actually very simple.
Until somebody is charged with a crime, they are whatever LE designate them to be.

We don't get to call it.
And AFTER they are charged they are entitled to a presumption of innocence until proven guilty.

That's how it works and anything less opens us to libel charges, a risk I'm not prepared to take or to jeopardise this site where I am a mere guest with posting privileges provided I obey the rules.

Photoman was wanted as a potential key witness as far as l could see and there's been no confirmation he is the person arrested or he is connected to the address being searched.

Also l noted the person was arrested in connection with, not on suspicion of.

It all seems a bit off at the moment, hopefully it will become clearer in the next couple of days.

My guess is the man will be charged this evening around 9pm (Or perhaps released if not enough evidence) i.e within 48 hours of arrest then will appear before Canterbury or Dover magistrates tomorrow morning to be remanded in custody.

Their extension gives them until tomorrow evening before release or charge.

Drones come with cases and carry bags. Nobody with a decent drone would transport it in a sports holdall.
Well, perhaps it wasn't a decent drone then, just a cheap one. Maybe he needed a bag to carry other things as well as the drone....accessories, map, sunglasses, spare batteries etc....
I've carried my scuba diving cameras and accessories in a normal bag before now, as I can't find one that fits them all, plus my personal belongings.

Today I saw forensics officers photographing and bagging evidence in the area circled. Link to the photo of the LE here: 20210509-134233 (too big to upload here for some reason)

The drone theory arose from a mailonline article stating a woman said her daughter had seen that man carrying a bag in a field nearby in recent times, prior to the murder as far as I recall.
It was mere speculation.
It was really difficult to figure out whether it held something or nothing in the photograph that was circulated on the day somebody was arrested.

There's a few officer's around, I guess they had searched the whole length of the hedgerow. They were close to the road which may indicate something being thrown from a vehicle into the field/bush?

I thought they would have thoroughly searched that area as soon as they received the photo of him.

Julia sounded like she was such a special and kind woman.

Forensics still seem to be looking for something specific.

A smart two-storey new build home in Aylesham, Kent remains cordoned off by police as forensic investigations continue around two miles from where grandmother of one Julia was found dead.

Around eight officers wearing white overalls were seen scouring the scene on Sunday morning.

They have been pulling up paving stones, scouring bushes in the front garden and emptying a skip in the driveway as the hunt for clues continues.

Two forensic investigation vans and two Kent Police vans are parked inside the extensive cordon with two uniformed officers keeping watch.

They are looking for something specific IMO. I wonder what?

I think Julia James will never be forgotten by those she rescued.
The Rising Sun will always honor this wonderful woman.
I have a sens that this is a massive story.
Her life and how she shone.
I hope she shines forever and inspires forever because women like this deserve to be placed upon pedestals.
Shine On Julia.
The world will never forget you.
