There is only a Sunshine Corner Avenue that I can find on googlemaps.

It appears the Journalist can't read the street sign that they took a photo of... :/ Lol.

There appears to be no street view of the road in question from what i can find.

Just to help with getting a view of the relevant locations:

I've read this multiple times, and perhaps I'm being really thick, but I don't understand it at all. Can you elaborate? If the young man in the photo that the police released goes on to be identified as the alleged killer of Julia James, there's no way her murder could be linked to the Chillenden murders as he wouldn't have been born at the time (or barely).

The idea that there might be a DNA link between him and the sample recovered then is the stuff of fiction - unless you are saying that bludgeoning women out walking their dogs on a Tuesday afternoon is likely to be a heritable characteristic...?

What am I missing?
The killer for the Chillenden murders left some DNA at the crime scene. The new suspect's DNA may have similarities with the DNA from the Chillenden murders - possible uncle , father ...That's what I'm referring to.

Helpful hints:

If you haven't read the TOS about posting when you signed up, you should. It's important and preserves the integrity of WS.
If you wonder if something you are posting is within TOS, message a mod before you post it.

This will help keep the thread from being closed down due to a massive, time-consuming clean-up on the part of the very busy moderators. I have found them to be very helpful about anything I have a question about.

Great thank you for this advice! Read them when I joined a few months ago but going to read them in full again! :)

I wonder if he's been sleeping rough for the 10 days since Julia's murder.

If so, if the police rushing into the woods at Barham yesterday and helicopter are connected with the arrest, there could have been food thefts reported. A lot of assumptions here, but still possibilities.

IMO

Interesting idea T

Going public with the photo was interesting.

I don't really get that thinking, you're suggesting that killing runs in families but that's not the case.

That's a really new large housing estate in Aylesham, we looked at a house around around corner from there last year. Probably why there's no street view.

The house that is being searched is literally on the doorstep of the murder scene. A bit strange if it was a random stranger attack so close to the perp (if it is the perp's home) and victims homes. Close enough for their paths to have crossed. The location of the attack suggests ambush from the woods as if the perp knew she would be there at that time.

I do wonder however, whether the perpetrator might have had an obsession with the chillenden murders and wanted to do something similar for maximum attention

I haven't read this whole thread, can someone explain what the Chillenden murders have to do with this? Seems pretty tenuous to think they might have inspired this crime just because it's in Kent woodland.

As far as l can remember Stone wasn't laying in wait (although we don't know it was the case here), he was in his vehicle and found an opportunity.

It is possible this was linked to her police work. Bludgeoning is such a vicious method.

Nothing whatsoever IMO.

It will be interesting if he did reside there given they couldn't trace him without putting his image out nationally. You would've thought they'd show the image to a select few locals at least that should have recognised him. On the other hand the house could be his parents, grandparents or friends house he occasionally visits.

It looks like he was arrested 8 miles from the crime scene so in Canterbury itself?

There is clearly a lot the police know they aren't sharing and what they do share they are being very cagey/careful about. Even more so than other cases I've followed.

I was hoping for news of a presser, none forthcoming yet.
They may question him for a few days first.
