Quite surprised nothing about the accused has been leaked/emerged in the press yet - it sounds like CW's social media was pre-emptively deleted (probably by his family/LE) when he was first arrested but there have been absolutely no details about him other than his name and age and where he was born. MOO

What I also find quite intriguing is there seems to be no trace of posts from potential peers of Wheeler on social media. I’ve been scouring different SM platforms pretty closely and it seems there are zero ‘oh I knew him!’ posts anywhere, which strikes me as odd considering his age. At 21, if he had any sort of social life perhaps someone would’ve posted something somewhere, even if they didn’t know him well. This leads me to the assumption that he may have been a recluse? Perhaps it also ties on with what others are saying about LD? JMO, obviously.

the minute i saw photoman i had a feeling about him

something looks amiss. I am veering towards learning disability of some sort. I can't put my finger on why either which is annoying me, but thats what i got upon seeing the photo

I had a family member with a learning difficulty's maybe its triggered something

I completely agree with this, I went to a school & college which had specialised units for people with a wide range of learning difficulties & i also mentioned previously in thread a family friend with autism who spends a lot of time in the woods & open spaces as it’s where he feels safe, free & comfortable and I immediately thought of him when I saw the photograph

It looks like he was born in Southwark, London in 2000. Are we allowed to share the link.

MSM have confirmed he was born in London in 2000 , it was in an earlier linked Times article.

Mental health diagnosis and/OR a learning disability would be very likely the reason for no social media posts saying ‘oh that’s such and such’ ‘went to school with him ... etc’

He may have been home schooled, small schooling unit, in and out of secure mental health units ...

I thought it was only forty-somethings like myself who eschew social media & smartphones.

Assistant Chief Constable Tom Richards of Kent Police said -

yesterday shortly after 10pm detectives ... charged a gentleman, Callum Wheeler, a 21-year-old man who lives in Aylesham, with the murder of Julia.

"I have no information to suggest at this stage that anyone else was involved in this offence.

"We are not at this stage looking actively to make any further arrests.”

They are certainly be remarkably cagey with the details.

The media must know more - there must be a reporting restriction.

He may have had another surname due to a parent's divorce.

Yes - I just saw this as well. Looks to be the same guy. He was smiling and stuck his tongue out at the cameras as he walked past. A bit disturbing to see tbh. If anyone has iPlayer you can go to live TV and watch BBC News at 1 from the start.

Am I allowed to film my tv from my phone to post on here? Can’t see any video clips online yet. The article is very far down the list on bbc news too :(

Definitely lives at Sunshine corner. Since he has been remanded in prison rather than a secure hospital it seems less likely he has has severe mental issues which would prevent him going to trial.

The two lads who killed PC Harper behaved the same way.
