Appeal for missing man, Govan, Glasgow Officers are appealing for the help of the public to trace a man reported missing from the Govan area of Glasgow. Juris Plakans, aged 75, was last seen in Copland Road, Glasgow, around 6.30am on Wednesday, 31 March, 2021, and concerns are increasing for his welfare. He is described as white, around 5ft 10ins, of slim build with bushy eyebrows and usually wears glasses. When last seen he was wearing a dark blue cap, a dark blue jacket, dark trousers and grey trainers with white soles. Juris was carrying a dark blue rucksack with bright yellow zips and stripes and may also have a white carrier bag. Sergeant Fiona McGuffie said: “We are increasingly concerned about Juris and would ask anyone who has seen him or knows where he is to get in touch. Likewise, if he sees this appeal please call 101 to let us know you are safe and well. “Anyone who can help is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 1067 of Wednesday, 31 march, 2021.”
