I know that the George Avenue and the park have been named as places being searched. Is the second property definetly usborne way? Reason I ask is because I'm sure I saw reported (but I can't find where) that a portion of Usborne way was cordened off..I was wondering if this was the part near the entrance to the park and the second property being searched is actually elsewhere

I think the same, I think it may be elsewhere. Check the BBM below. And thanks sar you are absolutely correct about George Street.

And this is not good news :(

Missing Kayleigh: Mobile phone has been found

Detectives investigating the disappearance of Kayleigh Haywood believe she may have been in the Sence Valley Forest Park area on Saturday afternoon (November 14).

Officers have been working to piece together the 15-year-old's last movements and it is now believed she was in the area, near to the footpath which leads to the park, off Ravenstone Road.

A mobile phone, which is believed to belong to Kayleigh, has also been found by a member of the public in the area.

The line about

she was in contact with her parents on Saturday morning

am wondering if that was just a text sent from Kayleigh's phone, not an actual conversation , as police asking for info from Friday night.

ETA answered my own question, police confirm Kayleigh spoke with her parents on Saturday

Residents at the Bakers Croft development said police activity on the estate began on Sunday.

Retired carpenter Jeff Timmins, whose driveway overlooks the cordoned off homes, said officers asked him if he knew the registration details of a white van which was usually parked nearby.

Mr Timmins, 63, who moved on to the estate in September, said one of the sealed-off properties was occupied by a man who had lived there for around two months.

Missing Kayleigh Haywood: Mobile phone discovered in parkland as police 'hunt white van'

"We had a couple of officers come last night and take statements from my wife and myself," he said.

"The police just told us there had been an incident. They showed us a picture of the young girl to see if we recognised her but I have never seen her.

This confirms to me the 2 houses are close on George Street

They are not releasing all the details. I read that they haven't released details of the clothes she was wearing because they think she changed her clothes.

Looks like a blue tent up in the park there, never a good sign

I saw something from a parent saying that a school locally had sent out a warning to parents about a white van that was behaving suspiciously on Friday.

I do remember reading that police stated someone would have seen her in ibstock over the weekend and thought hmmm

Could be just a precaution to protect any potential evidence found as it is cold windy and a bit rainy today *fingers crossed*

Leicester Police have taken down two of their appeals for Kayleigh. :(

With this and the blue tent it doesn't look good.

Is this her home or the home of the friends she was staying with the weekend ? Any idea if when she contacted family on Saturday morning she was indeed at the friend's house at that time? TIA

We don't officially know who's home, but it's not Kayleigh's. She lives in Measham according to reports.

Finding the phone is like a confirmation of sorts these days. No 15 yr old is hanging with friends or running away from home without her phone. It is the whole world to a teenager. Maybe she ditched it on purpose to not be tracked? Blissful optimism!

Do we know 'whose' house this is? Poor Mum, must be frantic. Would love a positive ending for this but not looking good.
Nope police have kept this one very close to their chest
