A 90-year-old veteran WW2 Spitfire pilot has been kicked to death by another patient in a Yeovil, UK hospital. He died two days after the attack, during which he hit his head and fell.

The family of Kenneth Tyrer say that after his death, the hospital didn't even call the police - they had to do it themselves. A police and hospital investigation is now underway.

Kenneth had an infection but was also suffering from dementia. I am wondering if his alleged attacker may be an elderly dementia patient too?

personally I don't care if both patients had dementia --- I hope that the Hospital is sued!

If the other patient was known to be harmful towards others in the past I hope that patient is isolated from others in future.

This is a sad sad ((and all too familiar tale)) story that seems to keep reappearing in seniors facilities everywhere.
