Police are trying to identify a man found dead near a bowling club in Glasgow.

The body was found on Danes Road, beside Scotstounhill Bowling Club, at around 5.30am on Easter Monday.

Danes Road was taped off by officers carrying out an investigation.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Around 5.30 am on Monday, April 5, 2021 a man was found dead in Danes Drive, Knightswood, Glasgow.

“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the identity of the man and the circumstances surrounding his death which police are treating as unexplained.”

Indications are this unfortunate gentleman has been identified. Police have confirmed the deceased was 34 years old, ergo they know his name; I have not repeated the name given in the report here however, as it appears to have been supplied by people in the article paying tribute as opposed to the Police themselves.
