#MISSING We're searching for a missing Throckley man and need your help.

Searches are ongoing to locate 40-year-old Kris Butler, who was reported missing last night, after taking his two dogs out for a walk at around 6.30pm.

It is believed Kris took the dogs, a French Bulldog and a Pocket Bulldog out for a walk on a track near Throckley Hall, but never returned.

Kris suffers from mobility issues and the disappearance is completely out of character. His family and officers are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare.

A number of searches have been ongoing to locate him and today we have issued an image of Kris and his dogs, in the hopes of encouraging anyone who may have seen them, or who may have information about his whereabouts to get in touch.

Kris is described as a white male, around 6ft 2in tall with a skin head and a slight bump on the top of skull. He walks with a limp and was last seen wearing khaki tracksuit bottoms and a khaki top vest top and he also had gold-framed, mirrored Rayban sunglasses with him. He has several distinctive tattoos including a skull on his right arm and a ghost on his left arm.

Northumbria Police is calling for help in searching for a missing man from Throckley who did not return when he took his dogs for a walk on Saturday.

Kris Butler, 40, has not been seen since around 6.30pm - when he left his home to walk his two dogs on a track near Throckley Hall. He never returned and was formally reported missing at around 11.15pm.

Some sad news to share with you

We've sadly found a body in our search for missing man Kris Butler.

Kris, 40, was reported missing last night when he didn't return home from walking his dogs.

He had left his address around 6.30pm with his French bulldog and his Pocket bulldog, heading for the track near Throckley Hall.

When he hadn’t returned home, his family raised the alarm and called police and extensive searches were carried out to locate him.

However, we found a body earlier this evening in the nearby area, and while formal identification is yet to take place, we believe it to be Kris.

His family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

Kris’ dogs were also found by a member of the public and have been returned home.

We do not believe there was any third party involvement in Kris' death and a report will be made for the coroner.

This wasn't the outcome we wanted for Kris and his family and our thoughts are with them at this incredibly difficult time.

We ask their privacy is respected while they come to terms with what has happened.
