Wondering that myself. According to her brother, she was still with a married man on Valentines day... that seems to have the title as 'ex' he corrected somebody that stated 'ex' and said "sorry but they were still together on Valentines day" that he had seen messages, that the man was abusive to her and in his opinion groomed her and mistreated her, the brother took a voluntary injunction order to not go within 25 yards of that guy or into the Knowhill area, I find it interesting that he is banished from that area, the area that she worked in...maybe it suggests that guy in question also lives or works in that area. Maybe explains where she went for the 75 minutes she was unaccounted for on Valentines day
I believe that he works at the same place as Leah

Hoodie sighting that sparked major Milton Keynes search for Leah Croucher happened SEVEN months ago

'She (witness) saw a photo of the distinctive hoodie, which has the words Stewartby Taekwondo on the reverse. This is the name of the martial arts club where Lea's dad is an instructor and where Leah trained to championship level.

The word Stewartby is understood to have
understood to have stuck in her mind. She told police the hoodie was on the ground, right next to the lake, but not in the water.'

BBM

I don't think anything is going to come of this search.

I don't think anything is ggoin to come of this search.

It certainly seems less hopeful with this news. IF this witness is right and it was Leah's hoodie, it either has to have blown away into the water or nearby, or someone has picked it up.

I wonder if there are bins nearby. Also, who is responsible for maintaining the nature reserve?

Well this sounds like a wild goose chase. Seven months is a long time ago to remember seeing a random hoody by a lake. I often see an abandoned shoe on a walk and couldn’t really remember where it was a week later let alone over half a year ago.

I am just surprised given the fact that she was missing, was reported as being by the lake crying, in a distressed state, that they didn't drag the lake then.

The lake where a witness saw the hoodie is a different lake to the one where a crying girl was seen.
I believe the lake where a crying girl was seen was searched.

Different lake. The one on her way to work, where the girl was seen crying, is in a proper park and is called Furzton. The one they are searching is a nature reserve called the Blue Lagoon, it is in the opposite direction and Leah should not have been anywhere near there.

I read the person only became aware of Leahs disappearance after the increase appearance in the media, and ‘Stewartby’ had stuck in her mind

I completely agree with the above comment. It could be that the witness is not remembering accurately after all this time. Unfortunately people love such busy lives these days they never watch the news or pick up a paper.

I'm not convinced anything will be found there but it is possible that the report of the hoodie lead to other intelligence coming to light making the area relevant

“Is our daughter out there in the cold and rain waiting for us to find her? Is she ever going to be found?”

A reported sighting of the grey hooded top Leah was wearing when she vanished has sparked a major police search at the Blue Lagoon in MK

At first it was thought the witness spotted the hoodie in the lake, but police later confirmed this was wrong. Today the MK Citizen can reveal the woman saw the hoodie hanging from a TREE – which means somebody else deliberately put it there.

I don't agree with the assumption the journalist has made that someone else mist have out it there. Leah may have taken it off and put it there. We have no idea at this stage.

Also just because it ended up in a tree doesn't mean that's where it was left. It could have been thrown there by kids who found it and were messing about. But that doesn't explain where it is now.
