People are reading far too much into this hotels stuff (grooming gangs etc). I don’t believe she was meeting anyone but AC and that she paid instead of him because his wife might see the credit card bill, similarly switches of hotel etc likely so wife/wife's family thrown off the scent
Would LC brother have had to have more than his suspicions, that the court asked him to suppress or have actually known she was dead for him to take his own life?

I don't think the police can be criticised over this.
Surely there was no reason to suspect that Leah had lied about the girls night out until they looked at the bank statement, and therefore no reason why the police should have checked the CCTV before then.
I disagree,
Police would have asked family from the outset of any changes to behaviours and suspicious movements. They would have wanted to have looked at cctv from her previous nights out and would have been looking at cctv of Jurys at the night out to see if LC was with friends or perhaps Mr X.

Good policing goes beyond looking at what the family share.

family thrown off the scent
DBM as double posted

I have just found this case and it looks intruding so checking up on all the background information.
One thing I have done is to google court case appearances in the same sort of area where Leah went missing. A 46 year old woman was murdered in Beresford Close, Emerson Valley, Milton Keynes. The husband was charged with the murder but as far as I can tell there is yet to be a motive apart from domestic violence. I haven't found any link between this and the Leah Croucher disappearance so probably just co-incidental the same sort of area.

I wonder if the police have looked into a person charged with alleged domestic abuse and the death of his wife in 2021 only living only a close distance away.

I really do not see the relevance between Leah being missing and local domestic violence cases, however local.

Leah's family believe Mr X is involved in Leah's disappearance and those are my thoughts too.

Suspects are always innocent until proven guilty. Leah's family and yourself may well be right but until there is enough evidence I personally thing that there needs to be other avenues explored. This is also one of the aims of websleuths for a discussion and for people to be open minded. However, I do hope too that if Mr X is involved you will all find enough evidence to bring him down.

Out of interest does the Mr X you describe match the description of the perpetrator in this article. Appeal after attempted kidnapping of 16 year old girl in Milton Keynes
'White, aged in his twenties, of skinny build, with short brown hair, bushy eyebrows and a beard.

An incident of a rapist in Milton Keynes which also may be something which needs looking into further if Leah Croucher was a victim of foul play there may be someone still at large who is the perpetrator.
Police launch manhunt after woman in 20s was raped in Milton Keynes at the weekend
The rapist called himself Adam, he had brown eyes, black hair that was shorter on the sides and longer on top, and a messy beard. He also wore glasses.

The man spoke with a British accent and told the victim that he lived in Mayfair but was originally from Northampton.

The car driven by the offender was a silver people carrier with a cream fabric interior.

Interesting, sounds familiar somehow- maybe it is the reference to Bletchley which has previously been referenced here iirc, in relation to Leah's possible whereabouts. imo, speculation.
From link..
''The victim refused and walked away and the offender drove away towards Bletchley before driving back along the V8 towards Milton Keynes University Hospital
The offender is white, aged in his twenties, of skinny build, with short brown hair, bushy eyebrows and a beard. He was wearing a white and grey Adidas jumper, grey and white Adidas jogging trousers, and black Puma trainers. He was described as scruffy looking and smelt of cannabis.
The vehicle involved is a green three-door car which may have been a left-hand drive.''

There are 1,126 people with the first name 'Adam' and born in the late 1990's/early 2000 in Milton Keynes so difficult to find out if there is any kind of link. I am wondering if Mr X has any friends called Adam.

Here is the recent witness statement that has come to light
Sighting of mysterious man 'hiding' female in car emerges on the day Leah Croucher disappeared in Milton Keynes
"The man driving the black car was aged maybe 30 to 40 and had darkish hair, dark brown rather than black. It was cut in what I call a 'mophead' style. Not hippie long and not short back and sides, but sort of hanging down - rather like the Beatles had their hair in the early days.
"He was wearing a dark, bottle green jumper and a tan-coloured jacket. It was a long jacket, not a short one. It may have been leather."

The article also says he is Asian.

Well done for finding this recent news. I'm guessing he made the name Adam up though.

Is there maybe a valentines day killer.
An older lady went missing on valentines day in Newhaven, UK whilst just on a normal walk.
Leah Croucher went missing on valentines day.
Are there any other people who went missing on February 14th.

A quick google confirms the common-sense idea that a lonely Valentine's day is a risk factor for suicide, both successful and unsuccessful.

So do you believe that Leah committed suicide rather than murder.

No, I don't. If you were to compile a list of disappearances on or immediately after Valentine's day, I think you would find that a higher proportion would be suicide than for most other days of the year (closely followed by Christmas, I expect). But as regards Leah specifically, my personal belief is that she disappeared voluntarily.
