I used to live in MK. You would not get very far without being captured on cctv, definitely not to the bletchley area from furzton.

If she went into furzton lake of her own accord that morning, I think she or her backpack would have been found when they searched it.

The body of water is big and it’s not clear so it could take a long time to find it. We don’t know what she had in her bag but it either could have weighed her down, or more likely someone took it when it was left at the lakeside and never realised it was significant.

I'm following another case on here about a girl who went missing the same time Leah did (Libby Squire). Her body went into a river and was found 7 weeks later in the humber estuary. I think if Leah was in any of those lakes she would have been found by now.

I followed LB’s case too but I think everyone agrees her body being found in the Humber Estuary was very lucky. The conditions are different here, the water isn’t moving as much and lake beds are likely very silty, there could be tree roots and branches at the bottom clothing could snag to.

It's certainly a possibility but I'm pretty sure police divers checked both lakes.

Leah Croucher missing inquiry: Milton Keynes lake search finds 'no items'

Another recent case, where a New York doctor went missing on 18th November, sadly her body was found in a lake in a park on 2nd December.

I have to say when I first heard of Leah's case I was convinced she would be found in one of the nearby lakes, but as time has gone on and I've heard other evidence I do think she met with foul play. It's a very baffling case and I'm equally baffled that it does not get much media attention either.

I haven’t followed this thread often but I remember this case from the news. It’s a terribly sad story but I think the most logical scenario was a voluntary disappearance due to a rejection or complex nature with someone she was romantically involved with. This may or may not have been X. It’s clear that LC was particularly good at keeping secrets from her family. The most notable piece of evidence is day before she went missing she had turned off her phone location services near the lake which suggests seeking out a spot to access the water, similarity her phone was turned off the next day. It was most likely amongst shrubs and trees (a very small section of the lake). People seen a girl crying on a phone, but as her phone was turned off, she may have been pretending to be on it so that nobody approached her. The water in the lake is extremely cloudy and this is why she has not been found.

I think she would have been found if she was in the lake. I also don't think attempting to drown in the local lake would be a likely choice if suicide were her decision.

I am open minded, what evidence makes you think she met with foul play?

There are 3 threads discussing different poster's theories.

I believe she met foul play because she lied about the person who she was meeting the night before she vanished. This mystery person has never been identified. I also strongly believe if she was going to commit suicide she would have left a suicide note/message for her family. I also believe she would have been found by now.

• Well i think if you were going to commit suicide why would you bother getting into your work clothes and walking to work only to then stop on the way and decide to kill yourself. I do also think she would've left a note.

• She was having a relationship with engaged/married man ~ Mr X, who according to her dad; the police never investigated fully; did not forensically search his home or car and he has since denied being in a relationship with her.

'We think police got it wrong' say parents of missing Milton Keynes woman Leah Croucher

• The secretive behaviour prior to going missing

• There is no CCTV footage of her after a certain point too which makes me think she either entered a car or a house nearby where she was last seen.

• I also don't think it was Leah who turned off her location settings, I think someone she was close to, who had access to her phone did it in advance.

Leah was last seen on CCTV at 8.15 on the morning she disappeared, there were no other sightings of her after this. Her phone was switched off at 8.34 and I believe this is significant. I really do think at this time she got into a vehicle and was taken away. It's likely she knew the person who was driving the vehicle and got in voluntarily, although it is not impossible to rule out that she was abducted.

I believe Leah had no idea about what was going to happen to her that morning. She left home for work the same time, was wearing her normal clothes, had her backpack on as usual and was walking the same route to work. She was either conned or taken by surprise at around 8.34 that morning, and nothing has been seen or heard from Leah since then.

There is also some more info..by her family...

There is also...but again I'm not sure if I can link it here.

You can't link it, or even hint at what the family is saying outside of MSM! Site rules:

"Social media pages that fall in the following categories are OFF LIMITS.

Family members of either a victim or a suspect
Friends of either a victim or a suspect
Most any other individual

Don't link to these pages, nor make reference to information you find on them.

Sleuthing family members, friends, and others who have not been designated as suspects is not allowed."

A solid majority, well more than 50%, of people who commit suicide don’t leave a note.

Public Portal

Police reporting tool is still available as we approach the second anniversary of Leah’s disappearance.

Leah is daily in our thoughts. She is mentioned frequently on the Libby Squire trial thread as these were two girls who disappeared within weeks of each other. Not related disappearances, but both girls reminded me of times of my life and people I knew. Horrific as Libby’s trial is, I can only imagine Leah’s family are going through an ordeal just as devastating, albeit different.

Bring Leah home, someone. Make the report today.

Yes you do have a valid point. I just don't believe it's the case here. Leah just seemed to vanish after entering furzton. Absolutely no trace of her since that time. The police searched the area, im sure the public have been keeping an eye out when going to that area. Why hasn't she been found?! Why no trace of her since entering that area. I believe she was taken by car and if that person hasn't come forward then it's because they have something to hide IMO

The family should ask for a case review by another police force. I know the family of missing Corrie McKeague had this happen.

This is an excellent idea. A fresh pair of eyes overseeing the case might pick something up on reviewing the initial investigation, maybe something that has been missed or overlooked in the early days when Leah went missing.

I hope the family put a request in for this to happen ASAP.

Yes that is a good idea or maybe a private investigator? If a go fund me page was set up for such a thing I would gladly donate. I really think the answers are out there and it will just take the right people looking to find them.

Absolutely devastating that there's nothing new as of yet - I always think of Leah and check for any updates every week.
