As far as I could see there would be nowhere for Leah to be put into the lake at that time of day without someone seeing. It is very exposed around the lakes.
There's that bit by the bridge where there's a small inlet. The trees are thick enough to hide anything like that from the nearby houses. I do agree that I think it's unlikely she's in the lake, though - Police divers have been in, and it's exactly the sort of place they'd search.

Thank you. All baffling.

Agree also. We don’t know whether she can drive or not, but regardless the industrial estates in Milton Keynes are nightmare for parking, most companies have way too few spaces on site for the number of employees so for a shortish walk you would for sure avoid the parking hassle.
Second to that MK is becoming more like London where young people living and working in the city just don’t feel the need for a car. The redway network is safe and fast, we have both ‘boris’ bikes and the new ebikes in every estate easily accessible and taxis are cheap and quick - traffic is minimal.

You've reminded me of the walkers and joggers I meet out sometimes, they put weights in rucksacks for keep fit or body building, something like that. Wondering now if this was something Leah did.
It's a good thought, but I think it's more likely that it's joggers out for a workout that do this. Whereas people on the way to work would, I think, be unlikey to carry anything beyond their essentials - lunch, etc.

Regarding that bit of the lake you are mentioning I think I may have said before. I was at that lake yeas ago when someone went in, within half hour the helicopter was up, the search boat was out and within another half hour they had the guy out. I’m absolutely sure if she was in there they would have found her

'It's a living hell': Parents anguish as search for missing teen continues

"We’re getting more and more worried by the day, because we've been trying to think positive that she's just run away.

But the fact that she hasn't used her bank cards or her phone or logged onto Facebook, it just makes it becomes more and more unbelievable each day because she's a typical teenager in that respect, she lives on her phone.

You might be that one person that has that bit of information that you think is insignificant. We just need one person to come forward with that little clue because at the moment we’ve got nothing.
"

Gosh, that's heartbreaking :( How can anyone just disappear on their way to work?

...occasionally to the eastern side of the lake."
It has just occurred to me that this could be the reason she was early on the 15th. The eastern route is only 4 minutes longer, though. I wonder if she did the longer route on any kind of pattern?

I've wondered about that route and the sports club the path goes past. There is a car park right next to the path that's kinda shielded by trees.

I can’t seem to upload a screenshot of Furzton Lake, any advice?

What date did the fair arrive in the town ?

Thursday 14th February the Fair arrived and stayed for over 1 week.

This is the car park. Far right corner has trees and through those trees leads to the path that she would be taking had she taken this route round the lake.

Any cameras there or nearby? Is it a quiet spot or would it be busy at that time of the morning?

Just catching up on the thread. I have posted before about this area of the lake being very concealed.
The police did search the lake very early into the investigation, but I think they may have been looking for Leah's personal effects, her phone and rucksack, rather than for Leah herself.

I'm not sure. I'd imagine a few walkers at that time. If i was local I'd go and have a look round those trees in the corner. Although police probably already have.

This case is such a head scratcher, even the police have pretty much confirmed they've got no clue whatsoever what has happened to Leah. Obviously I hope she's alive and well but if she has just run away it is gone on way too long now.

This is certainly abduction. She has been snatched from the street and taken somewhere else.

I doubt it was coercion or deception, she wouldn't have fallen for it:- she was on her way to work so she would know not to take a life from a stranger.

A forced abduction close to transportation would have taken seconds.

Anyone remember the Natasha Kampusch abduction in Vienna? She too was taken from a city suburb in broad daylight and during the school run. Only in that case she was found alive 8 years later and not killed. It is very possible she is being held captive in a house nearby or out of town and very much alive.

Until her body is found or evidence is obtained to the contrary, it is impossible to rule out her possibly still being alive somewhere. However, after this amount of time you would have to say its probably a very small chance.

This worries me - I’m not sure why.
Because a big group of strangers with vans and trucks and crates arrived round the same time and into the same area Leah suddenly vanished?

Maybe that's why Leah changed her route on the 13th & 14th, going through Shenley Lodge instead of round Furzton lake

Yes and a childhood fear instilled by my parents not to go near them. I do hope they have checked them out.
