Bumping for Leah.

So, based on what people are saying here, it seems to me that Sussex Police have needed to contact Leah Ware in relation to clearing the animals off her land during the search for Alexandra Morgan's body, and in the course of that have discovered that her whereabouts are unknown and no one admits to seeing her since May. Presumably this is what was meant by "concerns raised for her welfare within the last few days".

A few things occur to me:
  • Firstly, as I said upthread, no one knowing (or saying) where you are is not quite the same as being missing.
  • No concerns had been raised by family/friends prior to this.
  • If there is a history of DV/refuge use that would be a plausible explanation for the situation.
  • If, as I speculated, she's part of the GRT community, people might be reluctant to share information with the police.
  • If the animals have been on that land from at least May until now when the land had to be cleared, then someone has been looking after them, suggesting a planned arrangement had been made.

All of these things make me feel hopeful she's actually alive and well somewhere.

JMO

I own the land adjacent to the Alexandra Morgan search site in Rock lane.
Kent police are still searching, even were there on Christmas day.
Sussex police have been searching the Woodlands also adjacent

Thank you for confirming as it has even been said that the other missing lady Leah Ware rented out some of the land for her horses.

There is still electric fencing up around one of the paddocks and buckets. I have been walking around our field since June and owned it since September. Have never seen horses there though but prior to the leaves coming off of the trees it wasn't really visible.

Hi @Gromitygromit and welcome to Websleuths. :) Do you know anything about some of the searched land being owned or rented by Leah Ware, or her animals being moved off it as part of the search effort? Several WSers have mentioned that, both on this thread and Alexandra Morgan's, but no one has so far been able to point us in the direction of a reputable source for that info. It would be really helpful if you're able to confirm/refute.

I haven't seen the animals there, we bought the field in September but been walking around it since June.
The view was totally obscured until the leaves came off of the trees. There is still electric fencing and buckets around an area of paddock that I can see now.
Our field and search site have a stream between with steep banks on one side, Kent police have also searched our side, Sussex police have searched woods adjoining.
I can't say anymore at the moment.

Thanks... It sounds a bit as though Leah Ware's field may in fact be elsewhere in the area. Appreciate you probably aren't able to share everything you know.

It's interesting to me that the police are persisting so long in their search of the same piece of land. Off the top of my head, that makes me think either that they have some solid intelligence they aren't ready to write off yet, or that they've already found something of evidentiary value but that it falls short of the human remains we assume they're looking for. (JMO obviously.)

Anyone else have any ideas?

Maybe the person they have charged has been talking which is why the strip of land they are still searching.

Was there a murder weapon perhaps used that the police are looking for in the area as well as searching for Alexandra's body.

A 53-year-old Hastings man was released without charge but this does not eliminate him from the enquiry he was just not found guilty of doing any wrongdoing. Maybe when he was taken in for questioning there are some things the police are still following up.

There's a dog boarding kennels on Rock Lane. Is there any significance here as one of the missing ladies either Leah or Alexandra is listed as a dog groomer. So far there has been no media or police report to say that both girls disappearances are linked but there could be a lot we do not know as police are working behind the scenes.

I was thinking both Alexandra Morgan, Leah Ware and Georgina Gharsallah are all missing from the Sussex area and around the same age range. All three women have vanished without a trace. There has been no mention at all of partners for each of the women at the time they went missing although Georgina was in a relationship shortly before she went missing.
Whilst we cannot look at all missing persons in Sussex and Kent and further afield I just feel to hem in on these three women.

The kennels is just behind the search site, other side of railway line, not sure there is any link there. Don't think the person charged is talking at all and that is why search is going on for so long and so detailed

Leah was interested in urban exploring according to one of her FB profiles so maybe we should be looking at derelict places in the area.
Sussex Urban Ex
This includes:- Barley Lane, Hastings - Some rocks with equal size chambers inside.
A house at unknown location with no roof - The council purchased it to knock it down to make way for an access road to houses they were going to build on the land behind. The houses never did get built, and so this place never got knocked down.
A former Convent School on the outskirts of Hastings.
BLUE DOORS
Located between Rye and Hastings
A former care home on the outskirts of Hastings
A former baker’s shop on the outskirts of Hastings
An abandoned cottage about 6 miles away from Hastings.
The Cottage in the Under-growth.
(a few miles out from Hastings)
Beaten-up old cottage near Hollington, St. Leonards

Another idea, as Leah may have known about all these derelict places have police even checked the buildings to see if that is where she may be hiding.

Just taking a lunchtime stroll up Rock Lane in Hastings on Streetview, it occurs to me that if Leah kept her horse in a field up here, she most probably had access to a vehicle, so I'm wondering where that is now.

If it was hers, is it still on the road/taxed/MOT'd? What contact details are the DVLA and her insurer using and has the insurance been kept up-to-date? (If so how? Credit card? Direct Debit? Has her bank account been looked at?) Has her vehicle been caught on ANPR since May 2021? Has it attracted any parking or speeding tickets and if so where? Are car registrations that are input into parking machines stored and can that data be searched? If it was someone else's, when did they last lend it to her? If it's been sold/transferred, who has it now and since when?

Damn, I wish we were the police sometimes. They have the reach but we have the manpower.

I really don't know what stage the search is at now.
I understand she used to buy animal feed at our local shop.
Not sure what vehicle she had.
The land in question is opposite Bartletts breakers yard but only driveway visible from the road.
It is next to the railway line.

Thanks for the clarification. When you look at an aerial image, it becomes more obvious why searching it is taking so long. If you assume that someone disposing of human remains* isn't going to be a respecter of ownership boundaries, then almost the whole area bounded by the holiday park, the railway, Rock Lane and Ivyhouse Lane is probably being combed through - an absolutely colossal task.

*(I'm speaking of Alexandra Morgan here, not Leah.)
