The Daily Mail has pictures of forensics taking away what they described as a PC computer and a tablet.

Does this mean he's been released? Or does it mean the police have locked down the page?

Even if he's been released...I´m thinking about the case of Samantha Eastwood (RIP, lovely young lady): Michael Stirling had been arrested on suspicion of abduction and then released. After being released he went and check the place where he had buried her, the police traced his movements and could find her body.

If he has asked for legal representation, it could be that the lawyer has asked for his password and locked down the site. Have seen it happen before.

There's also the recent incident where 2 people were involved with following a woman in the same area, one I think was on foot, following her, possibly wearing a balaclava and the second person in what was described as a "Fake Taxi" - I think a second arrest is imminent but slightly perplexed why it hasn't happened already unless the police are playing the long game but imo I doubt they would given the urgency of the case, Libby could still be alive, finding her alive is the number 1 priority

I really do hope she is alive, I don’t know if I read it correctly but I think on the HDM website it said that they have not checked the oak road allotments, this seems odd to me as it would be an obvious location to hide someone especially if another person that lives locally is involved.

The official statement on the HDM website was “A reporter at the scene has spoken with the secretary of Oak Road allotments. He confirmed the allotments have not been searched but police have asked for a list of tenants.”

Right- if the person named is the person who has indeed been arrested- something doesn't make sense. Reports in media from people who know the family said that he is quiet, hard working, doesn't go drinking, works 5 days a week, has young family that he likes to spend weekends with etc.

How does one escalate to abduction or worse? I get there are utter psychopaths out there- but wouldn't you expect some indications? I wonder if he has priors which might have led a move to the UK?

NOW I am also thinking about Gaia Pope and how the house she was last seen at was torn to pieces by the police and people arrested that were nothing to do with the poor girl going missing. GRANTED - Gaia WAS actually IN that house immediately prior to disappearing.

IF Libby was abducted- I wonder what motive they are establishing. I wonder what evidence led to the arrest. I think there is a LOT we don't know at all in this case.

Best for us all to keep an open mind. There may well have been indications prior to this event or he may well be completely innocent. The media have made massive blunders before when releasing names of people who turn out to be innocent.

As a side note, I wince whenever a finger is pointed at someone in the media when also mentioning their ethnicity. The ignorance and racism in this country has shocked me to my core in the last couple of years and I find myself being offended by British people on a day-to-day basis.

This billboard is being placed at the Clough Rd/Cottingham Rd junction in Hull tonight - close to where missing student Libby Squire was last seen. Officers continue to focus on the nearby Oak Road Playing Fields - forensics officers were seen bagging evidence there earlier.
