Karro Factory boots
I highly doubt they would be allowed to wear them outside of the factory though would they. They'd be covered in mud and all sorts and at risk of cross contamination. I'd think they'd be kept at the factory and only worn in the factory.

That other car, the one that also leaves the street, I wonder if they've been tracked down. Could it have been an accomplice?

The only business there is a hair salon - Sash - which wouldn't have been open. So where was that other car coming from? Is it the same type of car as the one pictured on streetview outside the salon?

Hmmm. I feel very sure this is linked to Libby's disappearance.

So one thing I don't understand about the 'gave a crying girl a lift home' story - why did he take his time sitting at the car before approaching her? And why go and park up somewhere else after seeing her? If this is PR, of course. Personally I'm pretty sure the it is, the police must have used other evidence to track that car in order to hold someone. I doubt they've made such a blunder they've got the wrong person....but we'll see.

The previous motorist stopped on the road to check on Libby and that's what I would have expected here. It just looks dodgy. Although from what I can tell the passenger gets in themselves.

Okay - Alternative explanation, is it possible he was in the area to partake in a separate crime, maybe handling stolen goods, drugs or something similar - He then sighted Libby, maybe spoken to her and she then walks away as she might be a bit weirded out by this man, he then finishes what ever he was there to do and then returns home. He didn't come forward for fear of being caught.
This would also support an interview given to the press by a relative of the person the press have named -
I also have to agree with another post that says he wasn't seemingly putting too much effort into whatever he was placing in the car, so it's unlikely it could have been a person, but it does look very strange and I doubt the police would have released actual footage of an abduction if that's what they believed it was - I think this man would have been charged by now if that footage was as compelling as it "appears" to be.

Of course it's entirely possible that PR has already admitted this was him about to pick Libby up.

I wanna know why he was there for 20 minutes (from approx 11:49 - 12:09). Maybe he was driving along and noticed grey beardy guy trying to talk to her (approx 11:45) and thought he'd nip round the back road and "help" her.

The other car could have been placing something/somebody in the trunk for him while he smoked.

The Hull Live update at 18:25 shows the image with the 12:09 time on it. Missing Libby updates as search in eighth day and suspect quizzed

Given that the camera footage finishes at shortly before 12:08, and it was known to be a minute slow, I think police have had this footage for a while and this was behind that part of the appeal.

Exactly we all wondered where the 12.09 appeared from in the appeal.

I personally don't see an abduction but interested in why he was there then. Looks like he was wearing wellies... Coming home from work?

Could be but he already told his sister that he did have Libby in the car.

All those flashing car lights I thought he was dogging or something

It looks like he's folding the passenger seat forward and putting a bag in the back to me?
Doesnt look heavy enough to be a person? Although he is a fan of the gym. . .and dance music
Re: Moving the seat to put something in the back... That's what I thought too, but I just looked back at images of the the car that was towed from Raglan St and it is a 4-Door not a coupe so there should be no reason to move the seat to put something in the rear.
HOWEVER...What is she was unconscious? Then he may have laid the front seat flat. I would also make the passenger less visible on any additional CCTV footage.

I don't either actually. It's really unclear. If that was your CCTV camera and you were checking the footage I don't think you'd say "ring the police dear. . Someone's been abducted." It also isn't clear if he put someone in the car. It looks a bit like someone getting in and taking off their coat.
And I don't think they're wellies. Looks like trousers tucked into socks.
The police will have asked them for footage from their camera.

So if Libby witnessed him committing a crime he might have had to drive around the block and go offer her a ride to sort it all out.

Wow, that video certainly changes the game a little.

I don't think anyone is being forced into the car, I have a thought that I don't feel comfortable typing, does anyone else think there might be some other kind of business happening here?

The person in the foreground sitting in the car look male to me wearing the kind of tracksuit trousers that young men are keen on, the body language and way of sitting isn't female IMO

The car flashes are odd, unless it's some kind of signal eg when you see 4 flashes come and get in the car.

Very interesting

Could it be he was in the area kerb crawling?
(Sorry if that offends anyone and I am not suggesting that Libby was involved in any way whatsoever in that sort of thing)

  • #334
Or he was laying the front seat flat in anticipation of throwing her in,

  • #335
Or she's been swept down the river.

Exactly

My guess is they got up on this guy from CCTV analysis trawling of all cars in the area in the approximate timeframe.

Then he's admitted to being with the victim to allow them to stand up the abduction charges which is enough to hold him.

A similar approach was taken with Becky watts killer.

In the blow up of the person getting into the car it is clear to me that whoever it is they go to and fro a couple of times then smoothly, but quickly sit down on the seat.

Or drugs?

Possible encounter before the recording, why does the car flash twice to be unlocked and four further times, is that someone pushing the button repeatedly? Does the boot of the car have it's own lock button?

I'm thinking he may have took something from the boot of the car to the front, possibly something to assist with abduction.

Or

I think there is history between them, they had an altercation at the bench or near the car (A regular meeting spot?). He went to smoke to calm down and think whilst leaving her crying on the bench. He then went back and convinced her to come in the car.

The classic - threat of revealing an affair?

Obviously the flaw here is how they arranged to meet and why she didnt go straight to the meeting point.

Great post

Can't see much. Looks like someone in shorts to me but can't see anything beyond that. I thought the person looked to be texting but could be something else

No idea what is placed in the car or anything. Too dark and the cob webs are in the way.

Are there traffic cameras in the way? Maybe those were used to track the car after it left and that's how they identified PR

It's a huge shame that sodding spider web blocks the screen, if it wasn't there we'd have a perfect view of exactly what happened.
Imagine, a tiny little spider perverting the course of justice.
