He's wearing shoes and long socks and shorts. In the still shot at the beginning (iirc) his left foot is bent over at the ankle. I don't know if this would help someone with good eyesight

Long socks and shorts is an interesting combo. Normally what, football, rugby?

I was looking at Google maps earlier trying to refresh/improve my understanding of the area. I did notice that derelict building on there and that it is very close to the river Hull.

I didn't realise the footage of the car travelling past 'newland bedding centre' was so close to PR's house.. Yes, it does seem to be too much of a coincidence not to be linked.

Google Maps

Yes, right next to his street. Odd that it took 10 minutes to get from Haworth St to there though.... where was he in between?!

Having been following the case intently my current thoughts are:

  • When watching the CTTV footage, why does the cyclist that passes by get highlighted in a box yet the vehicle that passes minutes later not? It seems too specific for me.
  • I have watched the clip a few times and it looks like the person in the passenger seat is thrown in from my point of view.
  • The man in question appears to be covering his tracks pretty well. His family members recent comments appear to be ways of covering himself in certain ways.
  • What I do want clarifying is did he approach the police? Or did they come for him? How long did it take for him to pop up on their radar?
  • I think the police have got a big case, as an extension wouldn’t be allowed otherwise.

I don't imagine the suspect nor anyone else would have been having a good old footie match at around 11pm on a -5C Thursday night but hey, stranger things have happened! Lol. I agree it's quite an odd clothing ensemble given the time of year, but I'm sure someone said that their family member and his friends are always wearing shorts in the cold weather. Maybe he's a postman, lol.

His clothing does look like an odd choice but it may be related to his job in the abattoir, they often wear wellington boots with pants tucked in as you can see in the picture above. He may well have been returning from his night shift and stayed in his uniform.

As for the Sun's footage of the car driving towards the city, this to me makes sense. Libby seems to have been very drunk with no house keys or phone and was waiting it out on the bench. Driving her home would have been pointless if she couldn't get in. Its possible they drove back towards the city to find her friends or decided to burn time together somewhere and something happened there.

The police have had either the Haworth CCTV footage or the Newland footage since last Sunday but only just made it public. I'm guessing they found him from CCTV and he did not come forward willingly. JMO.

We are missing part of this story- if PR picked her up and was bringing her home- what is HE saying happened next? Wasn't she close enough to home to walk or be escorted there easier than driving?

I don't see boots on the driver like some are seeing. In one of the stills posted somewhere it seemed to show little stripes on his feet similar to addidas.
I don't think I've ever seen anyone ever wear abattoir gear off-site. In some countries there are regulations re this.

Cops yesterday quizzed Polish butcher Pawel Relowicz, 24, over the two pieces of footage after they were granted a 36-hour extension to quiz him on abduction claims.

Detectives will want to investigate whether the car in the footage is the Vauxhall Astra seized from suspect Relowicz.

They obtained the CCTV last Sunday but kept it under wraps as they frantically pieced together the car’s movements before and after Libby disappeared.

The Sun was aware of the crucial development before the arrest but agreed not to publish details.

Please don't get the thread shut down again, lots going on tomorrow, it's all starting to come out now. 9:11pm Saturday is the deadline for the police to hold PR (though they might be allowed a further maximum of 24 hours until 9:11pm Sunday after which he must be charged or released)

And sorry if I sound bossy - tidy thread tidy mind and all that. I'll sleep better.

Unless his initial intentions were to really help her.

I could see a scenario where things turned for the worst. Like if she did throw up in his car or if evil thoughts got the best of him.

bbm
This made me think, could the sister have meant to say she threw up at him, instead of she threw herself at him, due to insufficient knowledge of English phrases?

Whatever the case, if he was innocent in her disappearance and his intentions were to help her he would have told LE where he dropped her off and she would have been found by now. jmo

IMO Libby is unconscious ( maybe asleep) on the bench due to the amount of alcohol she had. The polish guy saw her when he drove on the main road, turned left and parked in the dead-end road. Waited for the cyclist and other car to pass, then went to the bench and carried Libby back to his car. I have a feeling he put her in the front seat as the person in that video looks like she is slumped on the passenger seat with her head thrown back. That is my opinion.

I thought this too. EDIT: just went through the timings/videos again. Yes, time for her to fall asleep/pass out. Around 15 minutes later, correct me if i'm wrong.

I still don't know why she would get in that car 'consciously' willingly. If she was cold, why not go to Sainsbury's? Haven't people said it was still open?

I think it's possible she was in a state of drunken unconsciousness where she could be led, instructed, ie could still walk, but wasn't rationally thinking.

Someone approaches and says: hey, wake up, time to get in the car, and she just goes with him.

Not sure he would object to being thrown up on more because he is married...

I don't think he's rolling/smoking a cigarette. I think he's on his phone. The way he takes it out of his pocket and puts it back in doesn't look like tobacco, papers, lighter etc. He also looks like his lips are moving. He could be talking on the phone via an earpiece or whatever.

Lol! I thought the exact same. He was offended that she threw up on him because he's married ... Doesn't quite make as much sense as if she made a move.
