..but presumed the car park gate would be locked ...and goodness knows how he would walk a person very drunk very far into a park in the dark

Not sure many public park gates get locked any more. It requires a member of staff to drive out there twice a day - budget cuts and all that. It was a different story when park keepers lived on site.

She’s an attractive, middle-class, young white female. The tabloids always go nuts over these disappearances - if she were poor and black it would be a much smaller story.

And honestly, it’s a bias a lot of us are probably guilty of too. How many of us would be as engaged with the case and this thread if it didn’t feel so “close to home”? Can you name a missing or murdered black woman as easily as you can all the famous white cases?

Sadly there are plenty of instances of the same bias existing within policing, too, but policies exist to try and tackle this now, and I hope progress is being made.

I agree this definitely happens and it shouldn’t do. I 10000% would follow any case that I heard about regardless of ethnicity etc...it’s the media’s bias not my own.

So we know 5 of the 7 questions ?

“All residents were given a form with seven questions on to complete.

“It asked where they were the night Libby went missing, if they know her, had they seen any suspicious activity in the street before the arrest and had they ever noticed the car before.

“It also asked if they knew anyone who lives at the number where Relowicz lives.”

White and poor would be also just as detrimental to the chances of it getting properly resourced.

Whether we like it or not the old class system is alive and kicking in 2019....only thing different now is that when the "elite" refer to "the working classes in the north"....
What they are referring to is that generation of working age people who thanks to political meddling have been left with nowhere to work!

Working classes could not be a more misleading label!

I wonder if the other two were just mundane questions, such as asking their name and occupation.

Also I’ve seen some people saying the wording of the question around Relowicz is suspicious because it didn’t specifically ask if he’d been seen around the house. I’d say that’s to avoid predujicing anybody’s mind.

I'm.all for innocent until proven guilty but doesn't bode well in the big picture now.

Bloody hell guys, I clean the house for a couple of hours and there's hundreds of posts to read lol. I've only caught up on last two pages, doesn't seem anything new has happened really? Sorry if this has already been asked but with regards to the house being boarded up with metal, is there anything telling in that?

I do agree, but (possibly incorrectly as have no info) that the house next to Oak Park car park could be inhabited by a 'Park Keeper'? Do they still exist?

Ok . Maybe admin might remove it for me
Sorry if I seemed blunt, just would be devastating if the thread got closed down today for broken rules! If you want the post deleted, you can either private message a mod, or edit your post and just change the text to "delete". :)

Was my first thought then wondered of my mind had run away with me and read that they tend to use blackout film on Windows etc... so then went back to thinking tripod like someone else suggested.

Then I found blackout tents and now Think you are 100% right it's blackout equipment.

Agreed. I said tripod, looked the right shape, but blackout screen/tent makes more sense.

I didn't know that. But maybe it was okay to release it because they have a better one.

Police did not release it, as far as I know.

It is weird thw DM is saying it is not thought to be him. They must have been told that...as if a paper wanted to pump up interest, they would say the opposite, if they could. DM is hysterical, but in US cases they often have tidbits no one else has that turn out to be true.

I definitely agree in general, but I think there was some decent attention for Shannon Matthews and
Becky Watts, who I think were from more working class backgrounds.
The young + attractive female thing seems to be the biggest factor in cases like this - but once you’re past 30 and poor, it definitely shifts.
