Just guessing, but I think it may be down to the sat nav. We know he had it with him.

They record data on all journeys whether you plan a route or not. (There was a UK case in which a murderous lorry driver was caught out by that)

They should be able to narrow down a search area from that.

Oh I didn't know sat navs showed where you had been even if not a planned route .

Yeah because something must have spooked her because we don't know for a fact that she didn't have her keys with her. If she saw a person lurking her gut instinct might have told her to get away.

wouldnt she have said something to bearded guy though?

Would the police have told the residents in that area though, even if it was reported at the time? I doubt they'd go round knocking on all the doors or posting leaflets saying "Watch out, there's a flasher about!"
I suppose they might have posted on social media about it at the time (anyone want to try and find anything?) but how likely is it that Libby or any 21 year old in general would follow their local police force on social media? I think if she was aware of the flashing incident, it would have been word of mouth rather than a warning from police.
If the street is mainly students I think that most of them would have heard about it via social media or group chats within about 5 minutes. Do we know where on the street this took place?

The uni sent out an email in January for students to watch out for bag snatchers on bikes. Nothing about flashers etc.

Could we try and put together one post on all the ‘facts’ about him so it’s in one place?

Like 1) he came to England in 🤬🤬🤬
2) he’s lived at address for xx
3) mum in Poland , sisters in xx
4) workplace
5) make model of car
6) date of arrest
7) charge details

So just things we completely know for sure

Then put links to 3rd party media about him like 1) sister said he said
2) mums character statement

Maybe but she might have felt like she was just being paranoid. You know sometimes when you get that creepy feeling there's something wrong and then dismiss it as nothing. She might have felt safe in that bench in public and thought to just wait for friends rather than go back to a dark house.

An e-fit is the modern version of a police artist's sketch of a suspect, done on a computer rather than by someone drawing by hand

Not sure whether it’s been mentioned before, however, I’m sure I read he had only lived in Hull a year, that he lived in York prior. I remember in 2017 the police were looking for a flasher in the York area and that the e-fit looks very similar to PR!

Oh I didn't know sat navs showed where you had been even if not a planned route .

All the time it is switched on it is constantly contacting the satellites, so it knows which road you are/were on at all times.

I think some models even contact GPS when they are powered off. Supposedly for instant location upon power on.

Also if he had his mobile on him they would be able to see what masts his signal was bouncing from and lock down his general location from that.

oh right thanks. I had no idea of this, what a help for LE in these cases. Must add - this must take a lot of time to investigate though.

Welcome to all the new posters!

There's a very helpful list of all the common Websleuths abbreviations here: Websleuths Lingo

In this case we might need a UK terminology reference guide too for our US sleuths, and maybe including some Northern terms - ie like 'tenfoot' we had previously!

I don't understand this intermittent searching. Nothing adds up, feeling it may be time to take a step back until some information is released as without whatever knowledge LE are holding, I don't think this will be sleuthed.

There is one problem with the sat nav scenario. We don’t know if he has one.

No we do not know this, but it is useful current information nonetheless, may be of help in other cases here.

His sister claimed he put Libbys post code in to his.

She may have got it from his wife, same as the mother who said she spoke to her often. But I would not place store on anything the family say, not just because they are not even in the same country but also with the language issue and translation, things can and do get misconstrued.

bbm

Someone posted before that he has one sister living in Hull. She might be the one he spoke to and her English might be excellent, we don't know.

Charges today ; I’ve asked Hull Live on Facebook by private message : if I’m not allowed to post this let me know please but it’s from Hull Live but by messenger

Was he was charged in court for a 26 Dec incident? I appreciate the police charged him last night with committing voyeurism on that date, but this incident wasn't included in this morning's list of court charges, according to Hull Daily , thanks

Hi there, the police say this is what he was charged with but the incident was not mentioned in court this morning - we are trying to get some clarity on why! Thanks, Jenna. (Hull Live)

Thanks I was trying to make sure I had read it right as I couldn’t see it there

Yeah, you did - it's a confusing one! (Hull live )

No we don't and sat Nav probably just means phone. It's quite rare I think for someone his age to have an actual satnav

You lot probably already know this - lots of taxi drivers use their mobile phones for navigation.
Most mobile phones will track where you have been whether you key in addresses or not.
I looked on my google maps timeline and my phone knows exactly where I am and where I've been. It's quite creepy really!
