I doubt she ever heard of go fund me at the location she is at. She might be just genuinly poor. Let's just leave that struggling family alone. Must be hard for them as it is.

The photo of the family home looked quite big and the outside of the house looked freshly painted, iirc. Didn't look skint.

I think they have her on CCTV direct. They know down to the minute when she left the bench.

Agreed. The police said 12:09 very early on, before PR was arrested. It it highly unlikely to just be coincidence that the car also left at 12:09.

I go with the theory that from Sunday (when they got the CCTV) to Wednesday (when he was nicked) he was under surveillance and they were busy tracking exactly where his car had been that night. They also realised that this could be the man who had been doing all the other pervy stuff and had enough reasonable suspicion to bring him in, get his DNA and get some charges on the table.

I also think he's admitted the footage is him and Libby but the problem is there's no tangible evidence of what happened next. However, no evidence does not mean he didn't do anything to hurt her. I just don't know if we'll get a conviction unless something breaks soon.

They don't have to give permission it's not their footage.

I'm assuming the media hung on before releasing it out of courtesy not because they legally couldn't release it.

I'm assuming they could get an injunction to stop them releasing it, but I imagine they said..hang fire a few days so you don't hinder our investigation please.

And I'm thinking the media said...ok.

Me and you...kindred spirits. I think the exact same.

There's still a part of me thinking they are searching in the wrong area, here's another scenario,
He picks her up and drives to the park, CCTV picks him up entering the park with her in the passenger seat, when he leaves they only see him in the car so police assume she must be somewhere in the park area, be it river, pond, bushes....
But what if the screaming that was heard was him forcing her into the boot of the car, I doubt she would have got in there without a fight, then someone said they heard a bang, like a gate closing..maybe this was him slamming the boot shut.

I know this is unlikely but it's a thought, he maybe knows the park and knows its likely empty at that time of night,
he couldn't do anything on Haworth street as it's far to close to properties and busy roads.

i cant see how the business owners of the electrical company left just after 12. On the cctv the silver car blocks the gates. They would need to get a vehicle out of the gates? unless the other car seen drive past is one of theirs.

I thought the statement was that they left minutes after the car had gone - and the sister ? was saying - if only they had come out a few minutes earlier, they might have seen what was going on and been able to intervene.

I don't know anything about a statement from the electrical company, can you fill me in on that please?

Its just so sad imagining her , all alone and dressed how she was in subzero temperatures and drunk to the point shes falling over in the snow and with sexual predators circling her and yet also remembering she was asked by at least 3 people if she wanted help , the students near her house , the taxi driver and the gray bearded man but despite apparently being the embodiment of a single defenceless female alone and in need of help she seems to have refused all these offers of help and tragically somehow fallen into the hands of someone who meant her harm.
So sad.
I wonder if the police are checking the riverbanks at all , the sooner they find her the better.

Yeah they can get orders, especially as the Tabs have misbehaved before (e.g. Jo Yates)

But in general they work this kind of stuff amongst themselves.

Remember the media are frequently given stuff on embargo till a later date

I wonder if that is the business owners in that car who apparently left just after midnight it was said by their sister? So they may well have spoken already.

Can we have the MSM link for this please

I don't think the other students even spoke to her as far as I remember from all the reports.

Early night for me last night but I see I didn't miss anything than circular conversations about things already discussed.

Earlier this morning I had to drive a round trip of about 20 minutes, I know it's reticular activation but I couldn't believe how many grey/silver Astras there are on the road :)

One newspaper report did say that they asked if she was okay and she just mumbled something incoherent and moved off. I’ll see if I can find the link. I only read that once though.

Tell me about it. I suffer with depression and anxiety and this case drew me in and hit me pretty damn hard. I've walked the riverbank and been around those buildings they were searching before, which perhaps made it feel more personal. It's a strangely eery, lonely sort of place even in the height of summer, IMO, and much more so now. I remember at the time having quite morbid thoughts about it being the sort of place horrible things could happen, and here we are: poor Libby has possibly lived my very nightmare. I can't bear it, it's awful. :(

This is absolutely not correct.

1. In order to arrest and hold a suspect for days on end on suspicion of abduction, the police absolutely must have some evidence of abduction.

2. CPS cannot charge without a reasonable prospect of success based on evidence held. They cannot charge while hoping Libby turns up later.

Mere evidence of Libby being in the car is not sufficient evidence of abduction - especially when the video evidence can be interpreted as her entering the car of her own free will.

Good point. I hadn't thought of that. A boot closing sounds a little different to a car dooras it has more of a force/whoosh of air

Yeah exactly.

We have been shown only one snippet of the whole picture.
I feel it is more likely, imho, we have been shown only one snippet of the whole, ONLY of one picture

I was out last night, so if you've already discussed this, then forgive me. This new CCTV footage of Libby approaching the club...yes she is walking with floppy clown type feet (like you are wearing clown shoes) but she seems perfectly able to move and to have a conversation with someone. She is less drunk than we originally thought? I know you can get more drunk as time goes on.
Libby Squire's last confirmed sighting caught on CCTV as she stumbles towards Hull nightclub | Daily Mail Online

Her friends presumably came from the same pre-drinking party or whatever, yet by comparison they look pretty stable. She looks a bit hyper, moving quickly like she's on a mission, which in my experience can happen not long before the rest of what you've drunk kicks in and knocks you flat. It happened to me in Spiders Nightclub in Hull a while ago: one minute I'm darting about, unsteady yet full of energy, the next I'm in a heap, puking and falling over walls. Whatever she drank has probably not yet taken full effect, so she's bound to have been worse by the time she got home, was seen stumbling and mumbling, and finally reached the bench.

Shall we have another Quick Poll?

I firmly believe, my opinion of course, that the CCTV is PR and Libby and that he has confirmed that to police. So, on that basis.... 'like' whichever option sits best with you at the moment.

QUICK POLL

PR picked Libby up and dropped her safely at home. What happened to her next is a mystery and nothing to do with him
