When he gets into the car the footage rapidly speeds up and I think it's about 20 seconds before he actually pulls off.

If you watch the time stamp at the top you can see it's been fast forwarded. They speed up lots of bits throughout the footage.
It would be impossible to get into the car, turn on sat nav, wait for sat nav to load, enter address, start car, turn on lights, depress clutch, select reverse, release handbrake, reverse, select first gear, and drive away in 20 seconds.

Problems with the sisters 'statement' if it is true:

1. We don't know that the sister is referring to LS. It's very likely but we don't know.

2. Why would anyone need to put an address just around the corner into a SatNav?

3. We don't know when the incident the sister is talking about happened.

Also it has never been confirmed that PR and LS are the people in the CCTV.
I agree.

Going back to a quote on here ... ‘the simplest things are often what happened’

I live in a village and over 10 years ago I had a drinking acquaintance, an older decent chap, we all knew each other in a pub , we all liked to have quite a few drinks on a Friday , I wasn’t in the pub that night but he walked home just the 10 minutes to his house after another regular good session at the pub. He was found dead on his doorstep from hypothermia.

This obviously doesn’t explain anything in the Libby case apart from if she’d run / wandered off again from ‘a lift home’ by PR (if we take that option) that could just be all that has happened to her and has yet to be found somewhere

I had tea with my friend last night who has a ‘sensitive’ Job in Hull, I don’t want to implicate my friend or myself so will leave what she does as that although it’s not in the Police force, sorry to be vague!

She said that trafficking is rife in Hull and that’s what she thinks that could be what happened to Libby, although she did think Libby was older than the girls who would usually be targeted.

Could the suspect have seen Libby, drunk and vulnerable, made a call/sent a message and she was then bundled into a car/van and driven away?

Not sure if it’s been shared but I found the attached which was interesting! I live 35 mins away from Hull and I didn’t know about this until researching this case. That would be a big story in our area too.

Yet to look on a big screen so might change my mind but I think passenger goes to get in then steps back and there is a shadow that makes me think the passenger might have taken their coat off.

I suggested much earlier that he could have been removing a condom.
What if him and other car(Megane) both attacked her behind the bench area, then they took her body etc to another place for disposal. And that was in fact him removing a condom and not rolling something.

Totally impossible.
The bench is up against the wall
You can see it clearly from the road. The bushes are not thick enough to hide anything.

The bench area is on cctv. ?

Would you take a coat off though , very cold that night , I’d keep mine on in a car

Apart from the Friday after Libby disappeared do we ever see a big presence of police in her own road ? We saw the photos of them checking that other doorway there with their equipment, we heard they house to house the neighbours in her street . Were the police seen going back in the days to follow doing more in Wellesley?

I’m just quoting from the sun this bit ‘
But she never went inside and instead walked 200 yards before sitting on a bench.

Police believe she remained in the area until 12.09am when CCTV shows a woman believed to be Libby getting into a car near the bench.’

So the sun are still using 12:09 not 12:05 the police suddenly mentioned , be interesting to see when the police report again what time they mention

The Sun offers £10k for Libby Squire info that helps locate missing student

Be interesting for someone to try this and see how long it takes , even possibly with using a phone as a satnav , a bit like trying to recreate the cctv so get in ask for a postcode etc etc and see how long you could do it in . Be especially interesting if a local could do it in the same spot and video it

My sat nav takes a lot longee than 20 seconds to operate, putting an address in google maps on my phone a lot quicker

Hi all, new here and loving all the info and effort people are going to. Great work!

The theories of trafficking and kidnapping are interesting, and the CCTV footage that was initially released still intrigues me, but if there was anything in that surely that would be the focus of the police's searches. But it's not. They're focused on the near area and searching as if they're expecting to find a body. What confuses me is that I really don't think anything else is at play here other than her being attacked and dumped around where they're looking. But then the fact a spontaneous attack could have resulted in leaving no trace of her whatsoever is bizarre.

That is very interesting information Bethp21, thank you. Also for that link. Myself I doubt Libby was the vulnerable type of girl/woman that would be targeted for trafficking - but I have little knowledge of it.

What this raises though imo is that there is a nefarious underworld in the area unknown to people, except those involved, and surely it doesn't stop at trafficking. I hope Libby's disappearance has not become part of this somehow as these people will not help police.

Depends where she thought she was heading mayhe. I took my coat off before getting in to a taxi in Prague two weekends ago, was snow and -6. Everybody is different.

I still wonder if ir waa him, if LS knew him.

Yes I wondered about a phone being referred to as ‘satnav’ like we call a vacuum a ‘hoover’ , just one of those words that covers lots of things

I don't use my car sat nav, found my phone so much quicker and easier. I did think if someone said i put her address in map people might say sat nav.

I think someone posted previously that PR car towed away wouldn't have been fitted with sat nav as standard.
