I don't think they're hiding anything, I think they've tried to make it viewer friendly by chopping out and speeding up parts where nothing is happening. Obviously the presenter refers to him smoking - she has seen the full unedited version so I'm happy to assume he was seen smoking.

Most normal people would be happy with this and/or not even notice it, and wouldn't watch through the full 20 minute version. And then there's us lot....
I understand that just wanted to see more after the car door opens that's all. I believe it is LS who gets in and to me it looks like smoking guy takes the seat belt and puts it around her and buckles her in.

Stalking by PR is a possibility, I wonder if he has been watching her for weeks, he obviously is a member at
Xercise4Less Hull in clough road looking at pics Posted of him in gym kit and wonder if Libby also went to gym there as well? That’s why maybe she got in car as she knew him and thought could trust him. Is this also the reason why he was wearing shorts in car footage smoking, been to the gym before, , if cold that night nobody would be wearing shorts....had he been to gym that night and then would drive around afterwards? Also a good excuse, his wife thought he was at gym and could then be able to do things afterwards without anybody knowing?
I think this is a plausible scenario, have thought it since early on

Hi all would just like to ask a question don't know if it has been asked before sorry if it has. But after watching the cctv from Haworth street 100 of times its only came to my notice if you look at the clock from the time smoking man opens the passenger door to the time he gets back round to open he's door it takes just over 12 seconds. But if you go by the times on the clock it takes 31 seconds. You can see the clock jumping and the picture going fast forward why would they fast forward the frames like this what are they hiding ?
Maybe he's putting the other guys bicycle in the boot

I’m only going on what the officer told me. He shook his head knowingly as to why I was asking I believe. He did say this gate is locked at 5pm every evening in the winter.
Yes and I know from going regularly that the gates are locked every night by the park keeper as he leaves (in winter only, there is a revisit by a Council van in the summer), only to the car park tho, not the pedestrian entrance on Oak Road.

Driving from carpark entrance to the right of the park (Oak Dean)
Driving from carpark down Beresford to Beverley Rd. sorry for the out of focus start, it clears up.

Am I right in remembering the Police have said after LS left the bench, she 'wandered' the student area for a while? This hasn't been mentioned on here for a while. There must have been witnesses surely that saw her? Am assuming this is why the statement came out the cctv had been ruled out possibly?

Oh I know, it cuts out and speeds up at the most irritating places. I'd love to see the unabridged version. Did you see @TheTruthWillOut 's GIF of it? TTWO could you repost please?

I agree ..I can definitely get the concept but would usually be in some sort of shelter / bandstand type place if in park and that cold
Years ago there was a shelterrible and so we did gather there with a few diamond whites and boys! But there are no shelters now. However the skate park seems quite popular so I wouldn't be surprised if kids gathered there late at night

This scenario I suggested earlier at least gives logic to why she did not go home and how she ends up on the bench at the end of his road.[/QUOTE]

The bench is at the bottom of her street. Not his
He lives a fifteen min walk from there.
If she was locked out and unable to call her friends and quite drunk, the logical thing to do would be to go to the nearest bench in public view which would be that one at the top of Haworth St.
I know this because I was born and raised in Hull
I went to Hull Uni then moved to London where I’ve been for the last twenty years.
As for the suggestions he would clear things with his wife in regards to going out you’re forgetting that they’re used to a different culture.
The husbands think nothing of going out till all hours with their friends and the wives are used to it, in most cases I’ve seen.
Strangely enough I’d never heard of Oak Park till this case came up. Neither had any of my friends in Hull, despite being from all over Hull
I had friends in student houses in Wellesley in my time there and the park wasn’t known of by them either.
It’s not really a park like East or West park. It’s really more of a dog walking or fishing place.
I’m surprised PR knew of it unless he’s done a reccy for hiding places to stalk.

I feel there must be a reason why they are so determined to spend so much time there searching, maybe for purposely discarded/hidden items or even to disprove PR possible account if that night.

However my gut is saying nothing happened in there directly with LS & PR
I'm sure this will have been said but the only reason I can think that the park has been a focus is because they have done a triangulation thingy on his phone and pinpointed it to being last used in the park at that time. What else would draw them there and keep them there for all this time?

I'm starting to think that on day 1, the police went to the bench where Libby was last seen.

Then saw the camera on haworth
St.

Then saw the whole version of the CCTV and saw pr put Libby in and drive off.

Then they watched pr to see if he led them to libby and when he didn't they arrested him.

When he denied seeing her they probably showed him the CCTV and he admitted it was him and that he dropped her off.

Then he probably.used his phone call to call his sister and tell her that he gave Libby a lift and she made a move and to tell the rest of the family.

I've been thinking along these lines all along but starting to wonder as times goes on.

Wasn't 2014 the year PR came to the UK (York?) not Hull? Also from pics he looks short and stocky?

Here’s the first link I’ve come across on Google stating moved to Hull in 2014, but I’ve read this elsewhere on MSN aswell. Height wise, I would have no clue. Most photos I’ve seen of P he is either sitting down or it’s not full body. I’m really bad at judging heights from photos!

Sorry I should explain. Beverley road then into Beresford and then Oak Dean at the end of the road (carpark) and slight right hand dead end. No other vehicle access other than car park. Foot traffic accessible 24rs from left pathway just before carpark, right pathway comes from Clough Road walkway, river bank public walkway access to the entire back of the park. Correct me if I’m wrong but I’m sure that’s it.
There is the other car park further up Beverley Road near RiversRiversdale and that car park does not get locked all of the time but I feel that if someone went to that car park they could have been picked up on other cameras when travelling down beverley road

At what point will the police throw the towel in as days pass by without a breakthrough?

That’s what really worries me. I’d be sickened at that thought of someone sinister not getting justice.
