Thankfully it's not very common. But it can happen to anybody, anywhere. Happened to me once when out with the dogs. Sudden acute stomach cramps out of nowhere. Luckily it was out in the countryside and there was nobody else about!

So THAT's what your profile picture's about! ;)

I think whatever post you mentioned has been deleted as i have read through all the replies and cant see it.

The police have also had a number of different detective superintendents working on the case and speaking publically at press conferences and to camera, etc. I find that quite unusual. Usually you would get just the one who would be the face of the campaign to find the missing person.

Any thoughts on this?

Expanding on this, as a new line of inquiry, I'm going to point out that Detective Superintendent "MS" (I'm not going to name him) was at another police force until very recently. I understand he may have transferred, and yes, Humberside Police will have drafted in other expertise...but have a search around online regarding who has been leading the case and see what you think.

If there had have been a call to police on the Thursday evening (and they did not action it) I would expect them to self refer to IOPC. Although if they have, it hasn't been made public. However- If this had happened on an active investigation, you would probably expect the case to be taken over by another force.

Anyway...this is just speculation. Not alleging anything. Really, I'm not. Just throwing some theories out into the open and would be great if others can explore this as a potential for the lack of information and hazy timelines.

I have screenshots (kind of - took photos of my laptop screen)

Indeed. Why two weeks later, though? It always bothers me when appeals like this come out some time after the event.

They have probably only just found it. It takes hours of tedious work to go through all the available CCTV footage. They will have started with cameras closer to Libby's home and where she was last seen.

I reckon plod have been sitting on this since the first day and have been trying to ascertain if there is any more from CCTV cameras near to the area.

If those lads are involved in any way I reckon this is how they will have disappeared

In the CCTV you are looking at Oak road junction. They fellas are initially travelling right to left in the direction of the junction which would bring them out on to Clough road.

Once they got to Clough road there is a Smyths toy store to the left and Mecca Bingo to the right. There are very often people working in Smyths late at night and in to the early hours of the morning, restocking the shelves. I think both places have CCTV, but I cannot be sure.

Either way once at the junction a decision has to be made. Left or right.

If they choose left then they will pass both a fire station AND a police station inside of a couple of minutes. Not wise.

If they choose right then they would probably cross the road and then make their way past a number of industrial/retail units such as Dunelm and Exercise 4 Less, which are set far enough back that any CCTV they had would be useless. UNLESS they made the trek around the back of one of these stores.

More likely is they left via either Sissons Way, Ryde Avenue or Worthing Street. Once down any of these they would disappear from view.

Sissons way is a dead end, leads to JD Gym and Jewson. There is loads of waste land around there though (e.g. the old Halfords).

Just catching up with the (belated) CCTV...Why do I get a whiff of the Corrie case?

Anyway...What did you screenshot? That sounds interesting!

*retires to Sleuthing bunker* Gonna be a long night I think.

Time frame is interesting.

This suggests Libby was still suspected to be wandering around the area much later than previously revealed.

The thing about Libby being seen lying down in the middle of the road might explain why the first motorist stopped and now it seems helped her onto the bench. The suggestion that the Police were called and did not respond is not good.

Not sure it suggests she was wandering about anywhere, to me it just suggests they’re 100% certain she was taken to that park at some point between 12 and 3am.

"They" is CrazyLilBlondie. Post #626 (didn't quote anyone) so no idea what they are referring to (thought they were referring to the post above and then wasn't so sure).

I know exactly where this cctv is from but cannot think of a single reason why you'd walk down there at that time other than drugs of course.

Anyone else have a legit reason to be walking down there? Only thing I can think is if you live down Beresford avenue and walk Oak Road way to get to clough Road to go all the way down to the garage for cigs or whatever? Seems to me the police are interested in at least one of these people for more than just being potential witnesses. If not then yes, extremely desperate.

Looking at running man again, he's going at quite a lick, not the usual steady runner's jog. That's a long stride, particularly given the icy conditions underfoot.

Question is, does he slow at the junction for safety because he's exited the pedestrian only stretch and is now on road?

Or because he's doing fartlek (slow-fast interval training)?

Or... because he's emerged into a more public area, know he might be seen, and wants to appear normal?

I take it no-one's thinking this could be smoking guy, or PR? He does look heavier and bigger, and the clothes are wrong.

I believe @CrazyLilBlondie and I were referring to a lengthy sequence of posts about an alleged 999 call.

Blocked off entirely of just for motor vehicles though? Could you make yourself disappear by passing through or climbing over any obstacle?
