Very good point
Didnt Pr frequent a gym? I read read a quote from LS parents she went to a gym on a regular basis maybe she went to the same gym as PR hence she would know him so be more comfy accepting a lift if thats what happened

Two things I thought... if the guy running on cctv was running because something had scared him, that something may not have been in the park but could have on the footpath itself as he was walking normslly down it or in the allotments to one side or the wood/scrub area on other side of footpath.
Can cars get down there?

You're right, she didn't have her phone, it was at home. I'm thinking of other phones, PR's for example.

But you've made me think - won't the police know which phones were in or near the park area that night? I'm sure they can use triangulation and pings to pinpoint which phones pinged the signal there.
I agree, there have been discussions earlier about this being the possibility pr detained but they are unable to join all the dots

The cut through Sera? Absolutely not. The car would be stopped either end by the antivehicle bollards. The park end would be stopped just outside the Pedestrian entrance to the park. The other end would be stopped just out of cctv shot to the right as we view cctv footage.

Of course they can.

if PR had his phone on, they have the phone location down to the meters

Thank you for clarifying. :) So absolutely no possibility of a car behind parked up down there. So if anything was on the path behind running guy, must have been either a person or animal. I really hope the running guy comes forward and tells the police whether he heard or saw something that caused him to turn around like that.

I've been well out of the loop in darkened room on morphine the last few days due to hurting myself quite badly... just surfacing since the weekend.

I hope the police do something!

That was absurd! The guy is 100% on the wrong side of the road then assaults you?

WTAF?

So, in your opinion if someone fell into Barmston drain could they have been swept away? And would they easily have been found? i.e is it deep enough to have got snagged underwater, out of view (didn't look very deep on the search photos)

Also interested in your view about the river Hull. A few locals have said it would be really hard to clamber out if you fell in (not to mention how freezing the water would have been that night), but do you think it's possible if Libby ended up in there she could have got as far as the sea? Consensus seems to be unlikely and I can't find any examples of people falling in that far upstream that weren't recovered.

Finally, the rough sleeper in the tent, have any other locals spotted this? Do you think it's worth mentioning to police?
Barmston drain isnt very deep at all be deep enough in places to submerge you if you walked across but mostly its quite shallow, you can see debri on the bottom in most places, ie shopping trolleys from supermarkets i suppose in the deeper parts she could become snagged on the bottom as for the river hull apart from some reedy bits its deep mud both sides and was quite fast flowing today being tidal so if LS did fall in she wouldnt get out.

@Inspecthernightly I've only just realised your name isn't InspectorNightly... Nice pun. Lol.

So.... any news about whether any of the four on CCTV have come forward? Will we even hear about?

I don't find it that strange that running guy was running and then stopped as he reached the end. He may have come from as far away as Riversdale Road, Silverdale Road etc (there's a park entrance by Riversdale Road and a couple of cut-throughs down Etherington ) and it may be usual for him to jog through the grassy areas. I know that when I go for a jog I run around the park and then walk home (although granted, not in the pitch black at night).

Alternatively he could have been on the allotments hanging about in his shed all night, and just ran from the gate, conscious of potentially dodgy people.

Or - on his way to a night shift from a surrounding street (e.g cutting through from Beresford) and didn't want to walk the long way.

There are also loads of innocent reasons why he may have looked behind. For example, he may have seen/heard a fox or a bat or another animal rustling.

Basically, we'll never really know. However, I think the chance he saw something on such a large park is quite slim, which is probably why he never contacted the police.

Wouldn't be surprised if there were some overgrown kids messing around on mopeds though.

Hull has a problem with nuisance motorbikes.

But I mean, will they be able to suss out who else was there that night, whether it be joggers, cyclists, teenagers etc? There will be a record of who pinged that mast and at what time, won't there?

I would think that they would get a reasonable degree of accuracy in pinpointing phone pings in urban areas - apparently can get a location with two phone towers, three is better to triangulate from

Edit should be a screenshot of mast locations here

And don't forget that as you walk by houses and business with public WiFi your phone may attempt to login and its ID may be in the router logs.

Yes, that too. So in theory can (and do) the police contact all those people who they know to have been nearby that night? Or does data protection prevent them getting that information from telecom providers?

Let's hope he's on Orange (now EE) - a perfect triangle!

I've been well out of the loop in darkened room on morphine the last few days due to hurting myself quite badly... just surfacing since the weekend.

So they have released CCTV from Croda at 1:40amish from the end of Oak Road?

I am guessing these are potential witnesses just to prove that whatever had happened in the park was over by then, process of crossing things off?

Perhaps there was a car parked in the carpark at the end of Beresford Avenue - which these passer by would have passed on their way to Clough Road.

Again, apologies for the delays, but I have a lot of material to get through, photos, vidoes I have been taking since Thurday to process. I'm trying to upload in a meaningful way, rather than just throw it all up there.

Be back soon!

Glad you’re feeling better.
Don’t get on here often as I work shifts in a private hospital in Central London.
(Orthopaedics Specialist).
More than slightly concerned you were prescribed Morphine for your injuries as you were able to leave the scene of an accident unaided and ride home. Fir subsequent concussion and pain they wouldn’t have prescribed that kind of opioids, in fact that should be the last thing they prescribe A low dose opioid like Codeine would be the drug of choice. Morphine is for on scene administration at serious accidents or terminally ill pallative care of cancer patients
Anyway off topic.

The records are on the physical router and often have the device name: i.e. my phones device name is "myfirstname's Iphone". You would have my first name and the type of phone I had. Nothing would prevent LE from walking around with a phone to see who has an open network and then asking them to volunteer to let them see the log.

I am sure LE knows this.

I first noticed this on a morning jog. Stopped in front of a house to tie my shoe and check email and my phone logged into the WiFi for the house I was standing next to.
