Here's my theory of what happened. Please feel free to pick at bits that seem highly unlikely.

PR knows that Thursday night is a local student night near where he lives and thinks that he probably has a good chance of hooking up with a random girl who's already quite drunk.

He's driving along Beverly road and sees a man helping up a girl who is obviously wasted. He drives around to Haworth and waits till the coast is clear.

He approaches a very drunk and confused Libby and could say something like "your friends sent me to pick you up, come on, I'm a taxi driver my car's just over there."

In her confused state this may sound plausible so she gets into the car. She could fall asleep as he drives her to the park or says she's going to be sick so he says she can't be sick in the car but there's a toilet just down the road in the park.

When they get to the park he probably makes a move on Libby which freaks her out and she screams running into the park. He grabs her and puts his hands over her mouth to keep her quiet but ends up suffocating her.

Realising what he's done he panics. Knowing the river is nearby he decides to put her in there but first checks her pockets to make sure she hasn't got her phone which can be located.

He can't find her phone on her and thinks she must have dropped it. He doesn't have time to look for it because someone might have heard her scream and called the police.

He puts her in the river and runs back to his car to get away quickly in case the police are on their way.

The next morning when it's light he cleans the car whilst checking for her phone in case it fell out of her pocket. He doesn't find it so he goes back to the park to look for it in the car park, the bushes, the grass anywhere it could have been dropped but he doesn't find it because she didn't have it.

The police check CCTV and see pr at the time Libby went missing. They get his phone records which place him going to the park. They check up on him and find he's been involved with police before. They arrest him and release his picture and some dog walker recognises him as the man in the park who was acting suspiciously looking through bracken and strange places in the park the morning after Libby went missing.

The police could assume he was there to hide a body maybe or move it, but really he was just looking for Libby's phone that he thought she'd dropped.

A few days later he finds out she didn't even have her phone so it's only his that could give him away. He makes up a story about him giving her a lift which gives him an excuse if any cameras saw him put her into his car or if any DNA shows up in his car.
Put the Bong back in the cupboard now Paddy.

;)

It's as good as Ive seen. Certainly beats the 'Tree canopy' theory I bought 2 weeks ago

Is “dogging” illegal? and is filming “dogging” illegal? If the police found footage of dogging on PR’s phone, would this be classed as voyeurisn? And if he is interested in being a voyeur, I would have thought he’d frequent the local dogging park, ie Pearson park, which as it happens, is between Libby’s bench and the Welly.

Has there been any update if they have had anyone contact the police about the latest 4 people CCTV yet?

Again I could be wrong but I don't think it is illegal when consenting adults. I have seen something on a tv documentary about it (no idea don't ask lol)
EDIT to add - acts involved in dogging like indecent exposure are

I think the latest Sammie is the statement released this afternoon where they said they have had several calls about the CCTV but are still yet to identify the 4 featured persons (paraphrased)

Here's one part, you can find the thread yourself via the search function and follow it down if you wish.

Or she was simply seen on the CCTV camera at the junction with Sainsbury's. Everything is all " what if's ". There's no definitive solid base for us all to go on and every single post on here more or less is pure speculation and as usual on this website, we will never solve anything anyway yet many people get pissed off, defensive or attacking and upset over all sorts of rubbish. None of us barely know anything about this disappearance of Libby, lets face facts. Not even you who's local, is priveleged to know more than anyone else around the world here. You as a local to Hull person are in a no different situation to any of us around the world as far as facing danger from people. Look at the people getting stabbed to death constantly around the UK at the moment forgetting abductions or missing people. A reality check is required.

Lol I saw a documentary about it once too (people wearing animal masks in steamed up vehicles in the woods) but I’m just wondering how it’s regarded as ok by the police to have sex in a public place. Maybe I’m just behind the times, but it somehow feels like it would be regarded as ‘not decent’.

There is no such crime as 'dogging' o_O

But if you're caught you could be charged with outraging public decency. Filming doggers couldn't land you with a charge of voyeurism, because the participants are knowingly engaging in the activity in a public, rather than private place

Okay bleach please!!!!

Yep that's the same one lol. I think it's acts involved within dogging that are illegal is how I read it.

I was under the impression that was the idea of dogging, that the pooches didn’t have any objection to being watched. His charge was watching one person that hadn’t consented to be peeped at (possibly filmed!?) .

For all those wondering...

"Is dogging illegal?
Although the practice of dogging is not explicitly banned by one particular law, there are a multitude of offences anyone one caught doing the dirty in public could be charged with.

These include anything from indecent exposure, public lewdness and gross indecency, to name a few.

People caught dogging could be prosecuted under the Sexual Offences Act 2003 or under the common law offence of outraging public decency.

In some cases doggers have found themselves on the sex offenders register"

What is dogging, how popular is public sex in the UK, where are the most notorious sites and is it illegal?

Yep. I can see that I’m barking up the wrong tree regarding dogging. Thanks for the info.

Folks cool your jets and check back in an hour. I am in the process of removing bickering, personalized posts and issuing some thread reply bans. When the thread is opened again it will get back on the topic of LIBBY and only about LIBBY.

The thread is open again. Stay on the topic of LIBBY.

Now, where were we?

Ah yes, about Graybeard.....

I was looking at a map of pubs and clubs in Hull. Is the Hullvibe music venue still trading? Its around the corner from where Libby was seen last. I guess she was trying to get in there to speak to a friend but was turned away again and became distressed.
