If he is guilty of being a flasher/burglar, possibly a killer what crosses my mind is what drives him to it

He has a wife, he has 2 young children including one born a couple of months ago, just what drives someome with a stable family background to act like this?

If he is guilty of killing Libby he will end up not seeing his kids grow up except behind a screen in a prison

I don't think anyone commits a crime expecting to get caught tho

Lots of rapists/murderers have families.

We don't know if he was happily married, we don't know how good a dad he was. We know little about him really.

I know what you mean, to me the risk of losing my family would override any other feelings or temptations I might have (I don't have any by the way).

But not everyone is the same.

My friend was happily married with a teenage daughter until her husband went out one morning in the woods and raped a local schoolgirl.

We don't know what goes on behind closed doors, never mind in people's heads.

I know. I'm just saying that if it was accidental I think she'd have been found fairly easily. I think there was a degree of premeditation even if it was just theoretical initially.

I think he set out to assault someone for sure, he probably had a plan of what he would do if it went wrong also.

Who knows what goes on in some people's minds.

I can't shake the feeling she was moved elsewhere.

I think so too

The below is taken from Hull live, link at end.. there are 4 people on the CCTV, has one of them come forward or is it just a typo?

Meanwhile, police are still keen to hear from three people who have been captured on CCTV walking on Oak Road on the night of Libby’s disappearance.

As of Friday, those people, who could hold vital clues to the disappearance of the philosophy degree student, have yet to come forward.

Just hope they find her.

Her parents must just want to know now what has happened to her.

Imagine living your life not knowing where your child is and what has happened to them.

Dreading my youngest leaving home and going to she's such a sociable little thing, at least now I can have some control over what she is up to and where she goes.

In your link a resident says “I’ve noticed that they’ve been going through brambles near Sutton Road Bridge so they must have widened their search area.

I think Strontium69 showed us that bridge area in one of his useful videos recently ? Looked very busy with traffic then.

Edit - Yes, sounds like one of the four on CCTV has come forward.

Yes I'm sure he did.

Police were definatly searching around Sutton Road bridge maybe beginning the week or late last week.

I remember a report saying they were in the water looking, there was a lot of discussion on whether a body would have actually travelled up river to that point.

People were searching the next day, I think...would be hard to move her...jmo.

If he had assaulted, then killed her, in an opportunistic way (rather than looking for a victim) he still would have panicked and driven who knows where, rather than just leave her to be found, imo. To remove her as far away as possible from any links to himself.

Jmo

I know. For some reason this case has really hit me. Keep thinking about her parents and how proud they'd have been sending her to uni. Celebrating her A levels, her 21st and now thinking of all the life she's not going to have and worse what she went through. All cos of series of mishaps. I cannot imagine what they're going through. Every parents worse nightmare.

They need a body to bury and they need justice for her. If it was PR and they can only sentence him on what they've got he'll be out within a couple of years having got away with it and probably will do it again

It might have been better him being released on bail (with passport confiscated) rather than being on remand

I read earlier that Christopher Halliwell was arrested because he slipped up while being tracked by police and pretty much lead them to the victim, if PR was on bail he would be watched like a hawk and might slip up and go visit where Libby’s body is or something

Whereas when he is on remand they can’t even question him on anything Libby related

What is a 'drain'?

I’m l not convinced there were 4 people in that CCTV. It looked like 3 to me. The cyclist being the same person.
I wonder if they’re trying to lay a false trail.

A drain here would be a ditch or dyke. They’re tributaries that run into rivers.

Eta, usually off fields, here.

Don’t see how a false trail could be of benefit, police have their suspect under lock and key, a false trail might smoke out someone out on the streets into making a mistake but PR is behind bars, cant see what is gained

Thank you. The one that Strontium showed on his gopro looked like a substantial river. I've never heard of a drain before and was picturing something very different to what I saw. I imagined a small pipe

Christopher Halliwell was under surveillance and they witnessed him burning evidence and allsorts.

He was finally arrested in a supermarket car park after he had been witnessed buying loads of painkillers.

Police drove him to an isolated spot were the lead detective carried out an urgent interview and he then led them to the body.

He then asked the detective if he 'wanted another one' and took them to the grave of Becky Godden.

He's a special kind of evil him.

Definatly 4.

The lone runner
The cyclist (2 times)
Then two people walking together

Yes, the cyclist is seen twice. The last one is two people walking together, although the one in dark clothing further from the camera is difficult to see.

Agree there. He is on a life means life tariff and rightly so

Evil wise he right up there with Sutcliffe, West, Sams, Bellfield etc

If PR was let loose i can’t help but feel he would visit where he buried Libby just to see if police had been anywhere near or to destroy evidence incase they get close, i just cant see how this case will have any sort of outcome till Libby’s body found
