So glad of a guilty verdict and there is finally justice for Libby and her family and friends.

Thank you @jamjim for all of your court updates on here and to everyone who has provided photos, videos etc. This is yhe first case I have followed and was brought here as this happened just a couple of miles away from home. I will be heading to the bench (probably early next week now) to leave some more flowers for Libby

Hopefully one of our lovely Polish posters could translate this for us.

Mostly borrowed from UK papers I think, nothing new to read but thanks to @klapaucius for posting.

Out of interest are Polish privacy laws similar to German in that the perps full name cannot be published?

Yes. Last name is always ‘unkown’ and media use an initial once the person becomes a suspect, are arrested, charged and sentenced etc.

The articles are almost word for word as HDM articles. They mentioned pathologist’s report, witnesses’ statements about the screams and they also mentioned the verdict being 11-1 guilty for murder, all the lies he told during the interviews, trial and his previous convictions. I did not find any discrepancies :)

This second part from this piece from Channel 4 is interesting. Detailing the dangerous and esalating nature of his previous offences and location mapping them. It also mentions that Humberside police had officially reviewed their handling of those previous complaints.

I feel that he probably did so much more in terms of his sexual “deviant” and voyeuristic behaviour than we will ever know. He is a seriously dangerous sexual predator. We only know what happened from various accounts that are accounted for but he did so much more and probably more back in Poland but who knows if forensic records are checked thoroughly when someone comes to the UK. This narcissistic psychopath is off our streets, thank goodness! Please let the sentence be good enough tomorrow. I’m still so happy the jury reached this verdict. You can’t say he didn’t get a fair trial x

Yes - Polish mainstream media at last:) Just matter of factly reports. No bias. Nothing new here - no revelations.

Only first name and the first letter of surname = Paweł R.

Aha, 1 more thing about Polish reports. I read commentaries (my favourite activity haha). All are disgusted with PR. People also praise English court for speedy trial.

Bbc1 news mentioned Libby. A reporter stood by the bench and on a path above a section of the river - Pawel may have rolled her down the bank to the water.

I know they sometimes revealing name in some sneaky way for example :
"Pawel R killed his wife Joanna Relowicz "
or :" my son is innocent -said mother of Pawel R - Marta Relowicz"
Officially they can't use surnames but if you really want to you will find them easy in comments under articles for example ;-)

This is significant imo and never expressed so clearly before.

Detective Superintendent Martin Smalley, Senior Investigating Officer in the case, said:
“From the CCTV imagery and the significant pieces of information provided to us during the investigation, we were able to show just how premeditated this crime was. Pawel Relowicz had been captured prowling streets, particularly the student areas, where he found Libby, and also visiting Oak Road Playing Fields several times, where the offences took place, presumably scoping the area for what he would later do."

A very matter of factly reporting

It's not surprising that PR saw ORPF a place of safety and familiarity (for him)to take Libby to.
This is very often the case with perps as we've said.

Indeed. I am doubting now myself- how could I think he killed her 'accidentally'? He was on a mission to terrorize young women. His sexual deviancies were escalating. He scoped the park. This would have been his first rape and murder in a series of others had he not been arrested.
