Planned to the extent that he was stalking LS, or planned that he was out "looking" for someone vulnerable?
never mind! I saw your message above after I wrote...

Does any of my fellow locals know if they ever found Kerry Hawood? She went missing around this time last year, also on Beverley Rd.

I think so, I seem to remember the police looking for her for theft a couple of weeks ago. I remember seeing her popping up again, but now as a blonde...

Yes, I've always had the idea that she fell over or was on the ground (hence describing her as "distressed") near the bench, and that is why the man stopped to see if she needed help.

Agree - "distressed state" is similar to police speak for "tired and emotional".

Oh god. I feel sick. I hope it's not a body at all. If it's a body and it's Libby, I'll bawl my eyes out. If it's a body and it's not Libby, I'll still be bloody upset! :(

It's going to be the same each time the police are out on something big until she is found, wondering whether this is the 'one'. Can't imagine what her parents must be going through.

I don’t know whether it’s kinder to hope that it’s not her, or to hope that it is her and her family can have some closure... Either way it’s somebody’s child and incredibly sad.

How far away is this from Libby’s last known whereabouts?

Road distance about 10miles I believe.

River distance I'm not sure.

When the cctv on Haworth Street was first shown in the media I kept on looking at the footage and it was soo grainy it was hard to really make a definite identity for me that it was PR. But it appeared to me that the person who was sat there rolling a cigarette/texting looked straight at the cctv. Which made me think that if it was definitely PR and he had in mind to abduct LS then he must be one crazy person who got off with the excitement of knowing he was being watched. Most people would have quickly driven off. Therefore I felt it was most likely someone waiting for their partner/friend who was perhaps getting a take away or who had finished work.
I have to agree that it does seem a strange coincidence that it seemed to be the same make of car belonging to PR and also that it was around the time it has been confirmed that LS was near the bench.
But one other thing that I observed was when the footage first appeared in the media there was one sentenced that stood out for me...

‘As part of their ongoing investigation, police arrested a 24-year old man yesterday, though he is not thought to be the man in the cctv footage’.

Now that sentence no longer appears in any of the reports, the only one I can find is in the Angle News which I am not familiar with but probably a local newspaper.

See below...will have to scroll down some.

CCTV probe in Libby Squire's disappearance after man caught on camera getting into car

The way things have panned out with PR and the timings and other things he has recently been in court for make him a obvious suspect.

But I am still not convinced it is him in the cctv footage.

I have thought a lot about it in the past few weeks and knowing that most of you seem to think it is definitely PR I have been reluctant to share my view.
I have probably come to the wrong conclusion but it is just my opinion.

It's a few miles along the Humber estuary. The River Hull flows into the Humber, then out to sea. So if a body was in the river at the park, I guess this is where you'd expect them to be after being carried along by the rivers.

_20190226_165058.JPG Red dot is Oak Road Playing Fields. The marker is Hull Ferry Terminal and Paull is to the bottom right of the map. This is a terrain map, so the river by the playing fields is shown in blue.

Police statement
A spokesman for Humberside Police said “A report was received at around 1.45pm this afternoon (Tuesday, 26 February), of what was believed to be body in the water close to the ferry terminal in Hull.

“Our teams are currently working with the Coastguard and Search and Rescue in and around the area.”"

I think the same. Not popular maybe, but certainly concurs with my opinion.

Indeed! definitely not popular and I have been hesitant to put my thoughts but glad to read I’m not the only one.

Oh God! I had no idea it would be able to travel that far.

Somehow lost my reply to KINGCharles -

Evidence and facts are the most necessary. Supposition and opinion cannot be enough to determine a case.

Whether it's her or not, I hope that it will lead to the person who did it, and in a way hope it to be the same person who took Libby, meaning they'll at least be caught.

But of course could be a suicide.
