By all accounts Libby was very drunk and couldn't have got very far alone after leaving his car.

I've said this before, but if you get a shock or a fright the adrenaline can make you sober up very rapidly.

I don't think he knew it was there. He'd have been more cautious I suspect

Well, would he tho!?
He’s not exactly been discreet nor particularly cautious when he’s been nobular fiddling or nobular exposing, no reports of him covering his face?

I agree. I remember my mate seeing someone get stabbed outside of Sugar Mill about 10 years ago.

We'd been drinking 6 or 7 hours and he just sobered in a split second and bang he was on it. Although his army training may of made difference.

And a security light is ON at the start of spidercam - he doesn't give a damn about it.

Ah, didn’t know that!
Not always the case, you can get what are known as black IR LEDs but they are relatively expensive and tend not to be used in external CCTV where the camera is a deterrent and therefore can be good to be seen.

Just had notification from Hull Live.

Police divers are searching Barmston Drain again.

I always get a horrible sinking feeling when they search waterways :(

Police divers search Barmston Drain in Beverley Road - updates

Police are searching Barmston Drain in Hull tonight.

Police officers were at a drain in Beverley Road, with one police car parked nearby and divers in the water. One fire engine and an ambulance was also at the scene.

It is not known at this stage what the search is related to but it is close to where searches for missing student Libby Squire have been carried out.

I want to cry every time I hear of a new search. I still hope for the 0.00001% chance she's alive somewhere

If she is found there I hope there is enough forensic evidence to get the perpetrator sentenced without putting her parents through even more.

Exactly.

This is why the screams that were heard could be valid. If PR decided to throw out his wild willy then Im sure there was screams.

I meant that she might have been able to run.

LE has done this sort of thing a lot lately. Like the day they went to the gardens north of the park area and then left shortly after a small search.

IMO I get the sense they are not searching unless they have a specific tip about something. Then they go there and check it out and leave.

Just like they did with the alleged body sighting in the river the other day too.

I guess they cannot invest in random searching unless they have a very specific tip.

IMO it sounds like it is up to us the public to find her and call in a tip when we spot her body so that LE can retrieve her.

So sad.

Of course he may well have picked her up for warmth/safety, he may have even taken her to the park at her request to pee/puke and even told police this hence the late night SOCO visit to the bench.

Maybe he had nothing nefarious in mind? Maybe Libby wandered off or refused to get back in the car, not necessarily because she got bad vibes/he’d done something dodgy but just because she was drunk (when drink’s in, wit’s out as the saying goes). Maybe he couldn’t find her/make her get back in car and she wandered to her death?

I think the police have something to have moved from suspicion of abduction to kidnapping but what?

Would this not explain the abduction/ kidnap difference? If so, it would suggest to me that they now have evidence that P. both took Libby unwillingly and then kept her against her will.

I meant that she might have been able to run.

yeah if the screams were valid then I do think she took off running from him, but the problem is since she has not been found then it could mean he caught up to her and then did something with her.

Im still assuming PR is the person responsible because LE first hauled him in for investigation into her disappearance. They only changed the charges when they found out about the burglaries and obviously have not found enough evidence to prove he did something with her.

Its such a sad case because we do need to find her to progress it.

I’ve just been there again now. You’re right. There is a dull red light glowing from the camera. Strangely, there was an 07 reg silver Astra parked right there.

They may have been visiting a sex offenders home or something think they have searched a few of those.

Wasn’t there a drugs bust there this week? Someone else posted about it, sorry can’t remember who!

Yes there was.

Two guys in their 20s I think.

Will see if I can find a link.
