Re scratches on his face - Joelle88 attended his first court appearance and I don't recall her mentioning any scratches. Perhaps she can clarify this?
@Joelle88
Yes, I didn’t notice any scratches.

There's something about the way Spidercam cyclist casually whooshes into view that makes me think he's not connected at all. He doesn't seem to miss a beat when he passes the parked car... just cycles onwards, seemingly oblivious to Spiderman.

Absolutely. Cycling around a residential area at midnight isn't anything to be suspicious of, unlike the Oak Road character. The poor quality of the CCTV, and the entirely white head, makes him look almost spectral.

Yes, I didn’t notice any scratches.

But it was 11 days after the event, so I suppose any superficial scratches or bruising would have cleared up pretty well since then.

So many ifs and buts.
If LE strongly believe Libby is in the Park area given the centralised searches there, then why haven’t systemic searches been conducted ? If they believe they have strong’ish evidence pointing towards of either a murder/assault scene and believe the deposition site is close by, why have there not been & still not daily searches with a fine tooth comb?
I’m sure volunteers would be willing to help.
Still leaning towards PR being very lucky with regards to CCTV, being spotted & Libby not visible and the use of quieter roads, maybe then not spotted going out of Hull so no idea of a deposition site?
I genuinely feel Occam’s razor can be applied here and that many of the wonderful WS’ers here have painstakingly cracked the first part of Libby’s disappearance. The fact that PR was most likely captured on cctv just yards from where Libby was last seen, his back catalogue of perversion & the fact he’s currently the only suspect can’t be that coincidental that Libby either came to harm by accident or another attacker waiting in the wings, surely ?
First part 12.09. Next part between 1.13 and 2.34 Oak Road. An hour and a quarter window so unlikely every witness connected. But police are interested. Very poor images from what looks like an area where you'd expect better - big businesses like the Range would have CCTV surely and security staff?

Can't see anything clearly but police clearly wanted it released. Clearly wanted the people to come forward. As of last week they hadn't.

Any ideas?

Not the point. People have stated as fact that he had scratches on his face at the hearing.
Thanks to Joelle, we now know that this is NOT true.
Classic example of unfounded rumours or conjectures solidifying into "fact".

That's right . . .but he may have had scratches on his face on the day after Libby went missing.

Is the car in the sun footage on Newland a 2 door car?

But we have no information on that. That is just a guess. It is not fact.

I feel it's as simple as those are the people on the CCTV who passed during the time they think the perpetrator was in the area

We have it on good authority from our car expert (HittheNick) that the car seen on Newland is not the same car seen on Spidercam.

My very first thought when seeing it was that he had knee high white wellington style boots on with possibly shorts or trousers tucked in. That style and colour is often worn in food preparation areas that get wet , hosed down by the way . I’ve not enlarged the video just viewing from a phone .

I'm not sure how discreet knee high white wellington boots would be.

Police seen in the street
Residents in the street say officers are looking in the alleyway behind.

“An officer has just taken something off the gate at the end of the alleyway and put it in an evidence bag,” he said.

Our reporter at the scene said: “There are no police vehicles in the street.

“They’ve just been in the house with a sniffer dog and have now gone into the garden and have now shut the gate.”

I've never understand the Newland car footage being ruled out as one car is not the same car as PR. There are two "silver Astra" types in the cctv. One driving ahead of the police car and a few minutes later another. Have I missed something or have both been ruled out?

First time quoting so I hope this is right - I agree with you completely, the rumours cannot be trusted, should not be discussed, and definitely should not be taken as fact.

I did just want to add (hope this is allowed, will delete if not) that I have screenshots of the rumours and there's actually no reference to PR having scratches at the court hearing, so not sure where/why people are stating that as fact. I think there has been some major miscommunication here and it just shows that we shouldn't even be discussing the rumours at all.
