Whoever started this silly rumour in the courtroom Needs to go to specsavers methinks, there very good.
I think these things usually start with genuine speculation, eg
"I wonder if he had any scratches on him."
Unfortunately people tend to skim-read things, or not listen properly, and this becomes
"I read/Someone said that he had scratches on his face."
But as soon as we debunked it, people started to speculate that he MAY have had scratches the day after the disappearance ...
And on it goes.

ETA Just read your post, @gravyh
Yes, I think it's just chinese whispers with mishearings and misunderstandings increasing with each repetition. Do bear in mind that this is not the only place the case is being discussed.

It was definitely a misunderstanding that he had scratches in the courtroom, no-one stated that officially.

So... what do we make of the sniffer dog action in Raglan street? Drugs? Cadaver scent? Firearms? Blood?

Does anyone know where the tunnel/gate thingy with the blue door at Ragan street ends up? From aerial view it looks like it leads to next doors back yard? ...or is it a doorway to access both gardens?

Maybe they have reasons to believe she had entered the promises?

Oh, I didn't know people were stating it as fact. I'm only skim reading the thread since we seem to be mainly regurgitating thread 3!

Hopefully neighbour John will be along shortly to fill us in a bit.
LOL

First time quoting so I hope this is right - I agree with you completely, the rumours cannot be trusted, should not be discussed, and definitely should not be taken as fact.

I did just want to add (hope this is allowed, will delete if not) that I have screenshots of the rumours and there's actually no reference to PR having scratches at the court hearing, so not sure where/why people are stating that as fact. I think there has been some major miscommunication here and it just shows that we shouldn't even be discussing the rumours at all.

Welcome gravyh :) and a good first quote imo. All we ever have to consider here are facts but sometimes 'rumours' are brought up and wrongly taken for facts by those who don't check back.
No pics of PR before/during/after arrest so as you say, just rumourmongering.
Stay and add to the discussion please.

It splits at the end with a seperate gate to each of the houses rear garden

There are posts on this twitter account from Humberside Police dog team about
Police Dog Toby finding items in a garden after a robbery. (good boy!) Then there's p.d. Charlie ( both brown spotty spaniels like the one at Raglan street) but I'm not sure what he finds.

But we have no information on that. That is just a guess. It is not fact.
Yeah there aren't many facts that we do have really. It's not even a fact that it's pr on the CCTV is it?

Not sure how hitthenick can be so certain it is or is not the same car as spidercam its very blurry footage taken from computer shop on newland i believe
I understand what you're saying but he only ever referred to one car, there are two.

Not the point. People have stated as fact that he had scratches on his face at the hearing.
Thanks to Joelle, we now know that this is NOT true.
Classic example of unfounded rumours or conjectures solidifying into "fact".

I think the confusion is that @Joelle88 said he had scabs on his lower face/possibly picked spots (or words to that effect) at the hearing this week.
I could be wrong but it’s potentially where the confusion is from.

I can't agree with you more. I've seen other rumours on twitter over the past few weeks that haven't even been mentioned here, and thank god they haven't because I think we'd all lose our minds! Rumours just aren't helpful at all imo, we need to be looking at facts and facts alone

Your brave saying that, thought the concensus was it is him and libby

Charlie is a Victim Recovery and forensic evidence search dog, according to this Twitter account.

Some useful detail there, including "an idea of the open ground a dog can cover compared to two officers on foot."

ETA Must Stop Looking At Dog Pictures

I would be of the same opinion as hitthenick, in that there are differentials between those two vehicles.
