See i just cant see this being necessary if they ALREADY knew PR had driven off with her in his car.

It seems more likely to me that LS (and probably PR as well) was seen leaving via Haworth st by either eye witness or CCTV. But had not yet been seen entering PRs car. So LE reasonably assumed she could be in one of those houses at that point in time.

I think they will have started to gather further CCTV and place PRs movements and probably identify him pretty quickly from there (maybe saturday around lunch) hence the moving of searches to the park.
I agree.
And the Electric company who provided the cctv agrees too.

I'm only 3 hours from hull and nobody that I know knows anything about the case and has never heard of Libby squire. I only know because I'm on websleuths
I guess that’s a fair point. I’m not far over the Humber bridge and it’s not been on local news or mentioned.

I'm on Merseyside. I first became aware of Libby on 1st Feb and have been following the news for some sign of hope. There is a nationwide interest on other social media sites.

They also took baby seats for the car. I think some of those belongings were being bagged up as evidence whilst other items were possibly being given to PRs wife for the kids.

Imagine if you were absolutely oblivious to your husbands nocturnal behaviour ... within the space of a few days you would not only learn of some pretty horrific events but that he might also be implicated in the disappearance of a missing local girl. Add to that the fact your house is boarded up, you can’t return to it, you’ve lost your clothes, make up, laptop etc and your kids are crying for their favourite toy. I can’t see PR or his wife being particularly well off, and whilst I’m sure how she dresses the kids is not top of her priorities list, it must still be an awful thing to deal with, to have to essentially start again.

I hadn’t thought of them being given to her tbh but had taken into account all the rest.

Do we know if any of the river searches were reports of something in the river or were just police searching themselves? I think I remember some were late at night which seemed odd

Wouldn't they be assured of some degree of anonymity if they were not invloved but could shed light on timings etc.,

I’m not sure Jacks, you’d hope so wouldn’t you? It’s a shame if this hasn’t been said but then again, people still may not come forward.
I know people who are currently at court testifying (not murder) and they were absolutely dreading it.

I can see why people may choose to remain anonymous, no matter the circumstance

Very good point. Is it just me or is there a jump here from stealing sexy toys to murder.... wouldn’t you expect him to have raped someone first and then escalated his next crime to murder. Just seems a jump from zero physical contact in his previous crimes to a full on murder. I’d have thought that he would have built up to it a bit more . That said , maybe more girls have come forward and we don’t know ....
We don't know the full details of his previous alleged crimes. We don't know how many others the police are are aware of. We don't know if he's committed crimes that haven't been reported. And we're not forensic psychologists.

Most people I know would not be able to name PR and many have little interest in the case.

Even following Facebook discussion groups regarding Libby, they are light years behind us here...
watching social media comments, even from Hull live, the majority aren’t up to speed
And I noticed Libby didn’t stay in the headlines of national news long after being found
I’m sure he will get a fair trial

I couldn’t think why else they’d take away the baby seats. I think the kids clothes, bedding and toys were purely to try and make a terrible situation for her kids more manageable.

I have a suspicion that the incident with Greybeard was reported by a witness, rather than being caught on camera.

I've only read that the police were looking for a witness who helped Libby or that a man was seen on cctv helping Libby; not that this incident was seen by a witness.

Yep... see!
I have no idea what groynes are, but I daresay they're nowt to a hardened fisherman.

Ah, I see, thanks.

Yes, but where's the bit where he (or another neighbour) mentioned that he thought PR shared the car with another man?

No prize for you, yet!
I saw it too in the first few days. The police were trying to discover if someone else drove PRs car. Also when a list of questions were given to some neighbours a few days later it included one that seemed to be trying to ascertan if anyone else lived at the property.

I don't know if the enquiries were to elimate an accomplice and to be certain PR was the only person that could be a suspect. At the time I thought that neighbours must have reported someone else living in the same house.

I saw the letter but all 7 questions weren't on it. I think the first 5 were but the last 2 were removed or censored.

Spent the past week trying to catch-up on this case and Leah's and am still behind. Been so busy with life....

This seems correct, PaddyOreally. I found what I think was the letter?:

If the questions were written in an article then I'm guessing all of those have now been edited.

Don’t remember that part at all. Feel like I would have because it would instantly bug me trying to suss out what the other two were! I think I could remember at least 1 more but I don’t want to speculate in case wrong.

An honest, noble quest. That's what.

Slightly off topic, but I looked up Scott Street Bridge. I knew about the Banksy from Hull City of Culture 2017 but I hadn't made the connection with that particular bridge! "Draw The Raised Bridge" - perfect. So the council dithered for 22 years whether to refurb or demolish, then along
comes Banksy. You couldn't make it up.

Back on topic - in the Hull Live report that I read, the owner of a local scrapyard said that he had caught Banksy on CCTV. So maybe Wincolmlee isn't so CCTV free as I thought!
