Argh! So much waiting. Thought that was what they were doing today! Will be sentenced on Friday!
Will be sentenced on Friday!
Il be here...... again lolAll present here on Friday for - hopefully - the end to this particular saga.
Indeed - really bizarre. That would include defence and prosection pleading.Hmmm, what was said in those 49 minutes today?
But would the victims need to be named at this point? As witnesses certainly they'd be named. But reporters know the Annonimity rules in those cases anyway. People have gone to prison for revealing names of victims but reporters do give details without naming names or giving clues to identity. It could be to protect the identies of the victims of his theft/voyeurism/indecent stuffery
The 1992 Act imposes a lifetime ban on reporting any matter likely to identify the victim of a sexual offence, from the time that such an allegation has been made and continuing after a person has been charged with the offence and after conclusion of the trial. The prohibition imposed by s.1 applies to “any publication” and therefore includes traditional media as well as online media and individual users of social media websites, who have been prosecuted and convicted under this provision.27The offences to which the prohibition applies are set out in s.2 of the 1992 Act and include rape, indecent assault, indecency towards children and the vast majority of other sexual offences.
I think so. Why not adjourned? Isn't that the usual term? "Halted" doesnt appear in their glossary"Halted"? What a strange word to use.
They normally disable comments option
Yeah I remember nowOn the HullLive facebook page there is no option to disable comments, only in the crime group.
What happens at a sentencing hearing?Hmmm, what was said in those 49 minutes today?
My thoughts too, surely they would have used adjounred for sentencing until Friday'Halted' is a very strange word. It has connotations of an abrupt stop, or something blocking progress. But maybe I'm reading too much into it.
