I think it got moved to August?
August 12th ( The Glorious Twelfth) at Sheffield Crown Court iirc.

There was a date also iirc late July as a prelim, but the 12th is PR's first meaningful appearance.

I thought Aug. 12 is his trial? Was that changed? to a prelim hearing? TIA!

Hi Niner,

You are correct that the Trial begins on Aug 12th.

Orig start date was July22nd, until the addition of extra charge.

Aug12th is a the last date that a trial can begin iirc, due to custody dates.

Confirmed: The full charges Pawel Relowicz will face at trial

Judge Jeremy Richardson QC, former Recorder of Hull and the East Riding and current Recorder of Sheffield, will be the trial judge. He told Mr Relowicz on Tuesday that the trial is expected to last two weeks and will begin on August 12.
---------------------

Mr Relowicz has two custody time limits by which he must be tried - August 12 and September 5.

What happened as Pawel Relowicz appears in Hull Crown Court dock

I've just been reading today about the Lucy McHugh murder, poor girl - and remember at the time they held him on other offences (related to him refusing to give them his fb password) immediately after his arrest as they obviously had nothing at that time to charge him with her murder.

What i didn't realise however, was that it took them almost 4 months to charge him with murder - which came about after information from analysing his phone led them to his bloodstained jumper an stuff that linked him to the crime.

So basically my point is that it was only around 4 months ago that poor Libbys body was found, and obviously a little longer that she was missing for but I always presumed they woupd be able to get access to an analyse phone info really quickly but that clearly isn't the case as is proven in Lucys case.

I do also think tho that they are staying quiet recently on PRs upcoming case and anything about Libby as i think they want this coming trial to go as smoothly as possible and when he gets found guilty as a sex offender it has surely got to contribute towards any case of circumstantial evidence the police may want to re-present to
CPS.
All just MOO :)
Yes, I agree too. I seem to think that careful analysis of his phone records showed he’d deviated from his normal routine after he’d murdered Lucy, so the police visited the site he’d gone to and that’s where they found items of his clothing linking him forensically to the murder.

He was held in prison prior to being convicted of Lucy's murder. He got 14 months in prison for not turning over his FB account password.
In the beginning LE didn't have his actual phone. He had hidden it in his brothers locker. They analyzed his cloud data and it placed him at the brook, where the clothing was found with DNA. All available in msm and court docs. Moo.

LEs last statement said they were using search experts which I assumed meant IT search experts but this sounds more relevant.

So I guess such data would bbe analysed alongside expertise determining where Libby entered the water and where her body had been.

I now wonder whether the charge of receiving a stolen phone, the only charge that didn't appear to have a sexual motive, is somehow significant.

I hope her family get justice

I passed by the bench yesterday, and it's still being very well cared for.

That's nice after all these weeks. Shows people still care.

Thanks for sharing that - that is lovely. With the student home now for the Summer, hopefully the caring locals will keep it well kept. (Assuming the students were involved in its upkeep too).

Small update from Humberside Police today. Briefly caught it on local lunchtime news, & found this on the BBC Yorks/Humbs site:
------
Libby Squire: Investigation continues six months on
Nearly six months on from her disappearance in Hull, police say they will release Libby Squire's body to her family as soon as they can.
The 21-year-old's body was found in the Humber estuary on 20 March, seven weeks after she was last seen on a night out on 1 February.
Her death was being treated as "a potential homicide".
Officers say further tests have been carried out as their investigation continues.

As far as I know, the bench was the work of the Hull Community Church on the corner of Newland Avenue - the same church which held the vigil.

Honestly, it's been nice not to think about the possible minutiae of what took place for a while. Obviously Libby's family and friends don't have that luxury. I think we're all anticipating the media attention to swell once PR's trial gets underway, despite the current set of charges being 'unrelated'.

I check in on the thread now and again. It's heartbreaking to see Libby hasn't been returned to her family yet. Hopefully they can have her back soon :(

I still check the thread regularly too. We havent forgotten Libby ❤.

Reading the update from HDM today, which included her mums words after she was found broke me anew. Their suffering must be unbarable.

I don't think that was intended for publication, as didn't she make her FB page private after that was posted in the media before? And they've intruded again.
