The LS case won't have any bearing on sentencing for these convictions.

I thought they were to be left on file rather than disregarded. Not in the best public interest to pursue a costly case if he'd already pleaded guilty to more serious or similar

The sentencing could only be based on the things he was convicted of today. The judge must be aware of Libby and the fact he was / is a suspect. I know previous convictions and charges are a factor in sentencing. Could just being a suspect have any weight at all?

I just can't understand why it's taking them so long to release the poor girl's body. In most other cases, thinking of a double murder in Indiana, US, in 2017, it's been released much quicker, within days or at least weeks. Is it because it was in water?
Am sure they don't keep bodies for years when a case goes cold in case in 20 years' time a suspect wants another PM. That would be ridiculous. If I were her poor parents I'd be getting very impatient and annoyed now.

See some of my thoughts a couple of months back have been echoed, that Libby’s hasn’t been laid to rest pending the outcome of his trial. If charges come quickly now then the defence will have the opportunity of a PM.
My thoughts are with Libby’s family who will have been left in limbo unable to lay her to rest. A strange & painful kind of no-man’s land, even for those who have to wait a week or two.

I'd guess to consider sentencing as well. I guess the Libby connection complicates what should be a simple case. Is he to be considered at risk if reoffending I wonder?

@Cherwell I was skim reading on my phone earlier, I probably mis read/interpreted it but I read it as the connection with Libby complicated sentencing/the case.

Well, i must say i wasnt expecting THAT!. Im pleased he saved his victims the ordeal of giving evidence of course but i do feel slightly disappointed the trial didnt go ahead thus "we" have no further details of his offending.

I think the Wellesley Ave charge was the one the forensics were working late on the front door and his DNA was there. MOO

Also the efit was definitely the boxing day flashing, im sure it said Malvern Ave was November 14th, maybe the reporting is confused or i am.

Hoping we hear some further charges relating to Libby very soon. I think im more convinced than ever now, that the police already have their perp.

I think they would already have secured that sort of evidence from Libby's body much earlier. It can be preserved until needed for comparison.
