Adding my thanks to everyone who kept the thread updated today, as I wasn't able to check in until tonight. Not surprised by the last minute change of plea, but disappointed the other charges will not be tried. I understand the cost implications, but it would have been helpful (both for Libby's case and for public reassurance) to have the other matters cleared up.

Hoping Tuesday brings developments that will offer hope to Libby's family of having her body back soon.

@Cherwell I was skim reading on my phone earlier, I probably mis read/interpreted it but I read it as the connection with Libby complicated sentencing/the case.

Whilst the judge can only pass sentence on the crimes PR had just been convicted of he will now have access to everything that is known about PR. He'll have a sentencing range. I guess both sides have to put their case for sentencing at the higher or lower end of that range. Previous convictions or charges would count but there aren't any we know of.

So I did wonder if LE had any say in requesting sentencing at the higher end of the scale based on him being a danger to women?. I'm guessing the answer is no

I also wonder if the fact PR is a convicted sex offender now could make possible other charges besides LIbby easier. It is possible he's committed other crimes.

Tuesday, August 13th:
*Sentencing Hearing – (@ after 12pm UK) – UK – Liberty “Libby” Anna Squire (21) (last seen Jan. 31, 2019 outside Welly Club in Hull; found 3/20/19 in Humber estuary) - *Pawel Relowicz (24) arrested (2/6/19 on suspicion of abduction) & charged (3/18/19 & 5/10/19) with 5 counts of burglary, 4 counts of voyeurism, 3 count of outraging public decency & 1 count of receiving stolen goods (Crimes committed between Jan. 25 & Jan. 28, 2018). Plead not guilty to all charges. Held without bond.
Trial was 8/12/19. Judge Richardson presiding. Will be heard in Sheffield. Trial is NOT regarding Libby’s murder.
8/12/19 Day 1: Relowicz plead guilty to 9 charges which included voyeurism (4 counts), outraging public decency (2 counts) & burglary (3 counts). Prosecution says it is not in public interest to try him on the other matters.

I will echo others. I have regularly checked back here waiting for some update and I hope that somehow this is the beginning of the end for Libby’s parents in the respect that they can get their daughter back. I am hoping charges will follow and also hoping he doesn’t go free. If we believe his sister which of course we can’t, but if we do, the police know she got in the car with him. I still think they have more CCTV than spidercam and know that she got into his car and also know they ended up in the park somehow. Please let there be an end to this for her poor family.

Don't defence and prosecution barristers get a chance to present pleadings to the judge? And the judge then gets to justify his sentencing. All of which could be telling.

I don't know why there is nothing. Surely if you'd allocated reporters to a 10 day cases you'd let them stay for that

I really hope they give him a sentence today, if not I think he will be rearrested Staight away. If they release him today, I don’t think he will be allowed to live in hull.
