I really can't get the idea of her running off into a river.

The pictures I've seen of the park suggest it'd be a sort of uphill run. Frozen uneven ground. A bank. A tidal river. Bends a lot before she gets to the Humber. I can't see her falling far enough in to be carried away. The police were there very shortly after searching.

I do think the screams and man running out the park are them
The screams were reported as sounding as if they were moving ...which is why I dont totally eliminate her getting away from him and running in the opposite direction
Also if that was them something happened very quickly...so either he caught up with her somewhere near the river and killed her silencing her or he ran out the park and left her to her death
Very intoxicated people succumb to more well lit rivers as we have seen in the past ...the slope up from the pool area to the river bank is a slope but very clear and accessible even if icy especially if running in fear

I agree the sentence is higher than the norm, but, "poor guy" and "nothing serious"? Apart from traumatising several girls, multiple counts of burglary, stealing cash, valuables and personal items, and creeping around the area with his knob out scaring people just to get his sicko kicks. Did you read the judges remarks about him being dangerous and a deviant?

I think you'd feel differently if it happened to your wife, sister or daughter.

Been reading about the sentence and so glad the judge treated his crimes as serious since any form of breaking and entering and stealing is a very serious crime. Especially with a repeat and perverted offender.

No such luck, Hats. For one he can be out on parole (if he's good) after 4 years 3 months, and he's already served 6. So by my reckoning he could be out around May 2023. That's if he doesn't appeal and get it reduced, which seems fairly likely.

I'm just glad he didn't walk free today. And I'm glad all his friends and family will know what a dirty sod he really is.

That was for NINE individual crimes, no doubt there were several more. He's a sexual predator and was getting bolder. What do you think he's likely to have done with a drunk, attractive young woman once he got her in his car that night? He'd been leaving, ahem, nobular deposits on her neighbours door just 10 days earlier. I think it's reasonable to suspect he knows more than he's letting on!!
