I wouldn't have thought a violent schizophrenic would have the stability (no offence to anyone with schizophrenia) to keep the crime scene so clean.

I'm not sure the crime scene was clean (by modern standards). The technology has improved a lot from 30 years ago, although IMO re-testing exhibits is unlikely to happen any time soon.

After the still fresh miscarriage of justice with Peter Sullivan, I don't think any of the powers that be will be in much of a rush to do anything.

I certainly wouldn’t want them to rush anything but I’m surprised they’ve apparently not even started to look at this one again. Perhaps the trivial matter of MM’s other case is holding them up!
