I also don’t think you’d walk all that way to the centre of Accrington if you were going shopping, plus phone was off or had died and she didn’t take a purse so wouldn’t have been able to pay for anything using Apple Pay ( unless she took cash but left her purse. And you wouldn’t want to carry much back home with the distance. There are a few shops nearby maybe 15 min walk from the park open late like B and M and Home Bargains so you could go for a browse there but I’m sure police would have checked CCTV all along the main routes so I don’t think she visitors these, or other shops.

I agree with you. There's definitely something not right here. Something missing somewhere

It really is a mystery. You would imagine if she'd have gone to a supermarket/pub etc in that time she would have been picked up on cctv. I'm wondering why she switched her phone off just before 4pm
Yeah I’m curious to know whether it was turned off or the battery died I’m not sure if police would even know this? I filmed driving along Burnley road towards the park area but it’s saying it’s too big to upload even though it’s just a few seconds. It was just to give people an idea of the local area.

I'm not sure either. Going to try to find out. Do upload what you've filmed as people on here will find it helpful

There are a lot of nice walks in this area too and although the park is nice I don’t know if it’s be a first choice for a 2 hour plus walk?

I’ve cut the clip to 4 seconds and still saying it’s too big I will try taking stills and uploads photos instead

I thought that too! Just been trying to find out if the police can tell if the phone has been switched off or gone flat, it seems that they can't

Damn! To me that would make a difference knowing that information well done for finding out I wasn't sure if they could tell or not..

I know. Absolute nightmare as we need to know if it was switched or powered down naturally

I thought that in another case I was reading - I think maybe the Leah Croucher thread but not sure - that they CAN tell if a phone has either gone flat or been turned off properly because when it is shut down properly it sends some sort of 'goodbye signal' to a tower. I'm not 100% but I'm pretty sure that's what I read.

Even in a village, wouldn't you expect more sightings of a woman in a bright purple coat in the period of 4.30 to 6.30pm?

I've known people to post videos on a couple of threads, but I think they usually get permission from @Tricia

DEFINITELY. Especially as this area is quite a quiet one. In terms of numbers of people walking around

Oh, that is brilliant! Thank you for that

I agree with others. She's been missing for over week but there's still such little information about her. We've only just been told her phone is missing.

I'm sure the police have all the information they can obtain. Privacy is something authorities need to be mindful of. The general public only need to know relevant information such as what she was wearing and where she was last seen. The whole world getting all the details of her mental state/life story won't actually help find her.

Yep, get that... I wasn't actually referring to her mental state or life story. But the fact her phone is missing for example. Also, does she regularly go for walks etc.
