Why did JC and the youth not stay in their own home whilst Logan had Covid? I do wonder if AW falsified a test and Logan being isolated in his room was for other reasons.
I think it’s in agreed facts that there were texts sent about Logan having covid. I would assume these were NHS texts and not something that could have been faked.

Logan taken out for a walk in early hours of the morning, says mum
Defendant Angharad Williamson is asked about the week beginning July 26, 2021, the week of Logan’s death.

Her barrister, Peter Rouch QC, said: “Did Logan go out at all?”

Williamson said: “Either Monday or Tuesday, it was half past midnight. He hadn’t had much exercise, he’d woken up all hot and bothered. Jay needed to get stuff from 20 Maesglas….. You can see us walking in and out of the house to put the bins out, we were having a big clear-out.

“I said: 'Why don’t you take him for a walk to burn off some energy?' So he took him to a walk to Maesglas… It’s about five or six minutes.”

Evidence was previously heard from Callum Williams that he saw Logan during a video chat with Cole who was at the property in Maesglas.

Having a clear out at half past midnight. Needing something from his own house at half past midnight. Most people with small children will be very much all tucked up before half past midnight.
I live in a flat and would'nt be clearing stuff, back and forth to the bins at such a time as it would disturb my neighbours.

Jo frost has a LOT to answer for!

Supernanny (her tv show) parenting was VERY much a thing here in the UK and whilst not all of it was or is bad advice, it wasn't always clear how these techniques should be implemented.
It was pretty clear, it seemed to me, because she would do it on video and show how it was supposed to be done. I never saw her keep a toddler in timeout for 30 minutes or start the timer over every time a child made a grumpy face, etc.

She would video the parents trying the techniques for a week and then she would tell them what they did correct or incorrect. I don't think we can blame any of this on Supernanny Jo. JMO

Maybe it you knew the right people finding someone to give you a positive Covid result to send off would not be too great a problem!

I’m sure they could prove or disprove the use of the Nike bag by checking the cctv of JC and youth returning from the riverbank.
I imagine it is considered a completely ridiculous suggestion that a five year old child could be completely concealed into a zip-opening hold-all bag, for it to warrant much inspection.

Plus, why use a bag that jc clearly intends to keep….it might end up with some blood or hairs from Logan inside. JC seems to have had such loathing for the child, I doubt he would want to spoil his bag, using it to carry a body, when a bin bag would have been easier and disposable….just like poor Logan.

My family was practically nocturnal in the summer holidays ... we don't cope with heat well at all and so would often be doing things at times you might find odd for you and your personal circumstances.

I said I wanted to leave and he said: "If we break up because of Logan I’m going to kill him"'
Angharad Williamson describes the aftermath of the attack on Logan on July 29 last year.

She said: “I wanted to leave and get help for Logan, I wanted help. They overstepped the mark and hurt Logan.

“I told [Cole] to leave me alone. He said I needed to calm down. He towered over me and it was so intimidating. I wanted to get help for Logan and he wouldn’t get out of my way….. I caught my legs on the baby gate and I ran and ran.”

Peter Rouch QC, her barrister, asked if Willliamson wanted to leave temporarily or for good.

She said: “I wanted to leave for good, I'd had enough.”

Mr Rouch said: “Did you tell John Cole you wanted to leave for good?”

Sobbing, Willaimson said: “Yeah a little bit later….. I said I wanted to leave and he said: ‘If we break up because of Logan I’m going to kill him’.”

Mr Rouch said: “You left the house and ran to the gate?”

Williamson said: “Yes.”

The trial adjourns for a 15-minute break.

Not trying to give too much sympathy to AW here but I do find her testimony of JC’s behaviour much more plausible than his. Given her history and what we know of her behaviour and potential vulnerability I do believe he was controlling of her and took over discipline of Logan.

That being said, if what she’s saying is true she’s just as culpable for allowing this to happen to HER son, she should have walked away the minute he started showing a dislike to Logan.

As a former stepparent myself, and as someone who’s had an abusive stepparent, if you don’t want to be in a relationship with someone with a child you shouldn’t get into said relationship !!! The parent should always choose their child over their partner.

Possibly, but I can’t imagine this pair going to those lengths. They’ve contradicted themselves and each other at various points though, by saying LM was kept in his room and had to wear a mask, to then indicating he was sat at the dinner table, in A’s bedroom watching Pokemon to having gone a late night visit to JC’s house.

I have a 5 year old son & if I’d seen my partner hurt him..I wouldn’t be running off & leaving him there my partner would either be leaving in a police car or ambulance..AW let Logan down..she had many opportunities to get help..no excuses..can’t wait for prosecution that’s when the real AW will come out.

With all due respect this is incorrect. If you're talking a brief stir then no, it's unlikely the spoon was hot enough but pouring water fresh from the kettle onto a spoon in a cup and then placing on particularly delicate childhood skin does cause a burn. I know from experience. I don't know whether AW did it in a malicious way or not, but I don't agree with the ruling it out as a painless insignificant event.

P
I think the alleged incident indicated the spoon was dabbed on Logans neck - not held there - this was my personal experience too - tea stirred and a dab with the spoon and a 'clear off out the way' - not a spoon sat in fresh boiling water and then held on the skin ...

Either way, I'm not convinced that's how logans neck was burned.

Thank you, this is the point I was emphasising too. The spoon did not cause the burn on his neck. That is another provable lie. Without further evidence that describes the incident more clearly, I think that's the safest interpretation of the evidence. It is a lie. He was burned another, more horrendous, way, and they are lying about it.

Defendant describes 'phemonenal' holiday to Blackpool

She said she bought the Nike holdall in a Sports Direct in Blackpool to bring back Logan’s presents and cuddly toys.

SBM & BBM

If the bag was used, maybe JC didn’t particularly care about the bag. It seems it wasn’t originally his according to AW.

How did it end up at Maesglas though. Did they use it to move stuff after it potentially had a dead body in. That’s all kinds of revolting. MOO

She said: “I wanted to leave and get help for Logan, I wanted help. They overstepped the mark and hurt Logan.……

……I caught my legs on the baby gate and I ran and ran.”

I can see this as truthful. But what stopped her scooping him up and taking him away. And what stopped her from texting, phoning, getting help? The social worker came the next day, and she didn’t get help. We are missing something here, she needs to tell the whole story.

ETA

and why did she then go on to cover up for them?? Makes no sense if she was as innocent as she claims.

Would you be doing this living in a flat. I think about my neighbours when doing things early in the morning or very late at night. I even drop my tv volume after 8.30pm.

AW says she bought the bag on holiday. I have my doubts it was for Logan's toys.

In July they went on a holiday to Blackpool. Williamson said: “It was phenomenal, it was [Logan’s] first proper holiday…. It was beautiful.”

She said she bought the Nike holdall in a Sports Direct in Blackpool to bring back Logan’s presents and cuddly toys.
