Concern Grows For Missing Woman Last Seen On Mortlake High Street

Desperate search to find 'vulnerable' woman who has gone missing

A recent one this.. Sadly I haven't the foggiest and don't know her. She is described as vulnerable. That to me suggests a suicide. I asked my father, who is a bit of a wise old owl and he said sometimes people drink and fall in the river. But I am pretty sure that wasn't what happened in this case. Mortlake High Street at night has potential for neer do wells to be lurking! Hope she turns up!

Lucy is a white woman, around 5ft 6in tall, and of medium build with brown straight shoulder length hair, and blue eyes. She was wearing dark clothing, a blue scarf and carrying a bag on her back.

Lucy, 44, has been described at "vulnerable" and was last seen on Mortlake High Street, just before 7:00 pm on Sunday (December 2). Police have now released CCTV images of the day.

I actually know Mortlake High Street a little bit. It's not far from me, just one of those places I rarely have reason to go to. The fact that the River Thames is a stones throw from the high street is worrying!

If she was described as vulnerable, she may have been suicidal in the past and had problems with mental illness. If she did go in the drink I am not sure what chance there would be of recovering her body. I know if it was someone from my family I would want to bury them. I know she may still be alive, but sadly if the missing person is not found within a week or two of going missing it is possible they are no longer on this mortal coil (via the law of averages).

I don't know if someone jumps in a fairly sedate river whether the body would sink or float. I know it's a bit morbid but suicide via the river is the first thing that came into my head. Didn't mean to cause offense!

I am going to go over some ideas I had, as I mentioned I know the area and know a few people who work on that street. Let's hope she is still here and safe!
