Brighton: Man raped in city centre, police say

Sussex Police release CCTV images of the two men they want to talk to.

''A 19-year-old man has been raped in the centre of Brighton, according to police.
The man was approached by two unknown men near Harry Ramsden's restaurant, in Old Steine, at around 03:30 GMT on Saturday, officers said.
He was taken to Steine Lane by the men who then allegedly raped him''.

"Your information could be key as we work to identify those responsible.
"There is no place for sexual violence in Sussex, and we take any reports of this nature extremely seriously."

Two men arrested over alleged rape of 19-year-old man in Brighton

The victim said he was approached in the city centre around 3.30am last Saturday by two men who went on to rape him.

'Two men in their 40s have been arrested after a 19-year-old man was allegedly raped in Brighton city centre.'

''On Thursday, a 40-year-old man from Redhill and a 42-year-old man from Chessington were both arrested on suspicion of rape.
They remain in police custody.''

I'm so pleased there have been arrests, and grateful the young man found the courage to speak up about this. There seems to be so much taboo around male rape when there really shouldn't be!
