On Monday, Dec. 2 at Lincoln Crown Court, Leigh Pateman, 45, was sentenced to a minimum term of 27 years for the murder of Ellen Marshall, who suffered 80 percent burns after he poured gasoline onto her lap during an argument before lighting it on fire on April 22, 2021, per releases shared by the Lincolnshire Police and the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS).
