I must admit these facebook photos have thrown me quite a bit.

The police photo is just so ... just miles apart from the person I see on facebook.

Yes! I wonder how long ago that was taken, or if it was police? What a sweet twosome. Hopefully they had to go to ecuador or someplace for family.

Yeah it does to me, sometimes mug shots and passport photos can look similar...but surely you would have your passport photo done with a visible injury. Which then makes me wonder if there was a narrative being suggested in using this photo for the appeal MOO

I think Lucy was on to something. Maybe that photo is from an assault report? Maybe the 'message' is to the aggressor and the people who know him? (I am speculating him)

If they use that pic, which i guess was on file somewhere and i wonder if it wasnt her job or son's school that reported them missing. I do occasionally have students who just never show up again, and return to their home countries , i wonder if thats the case here...

If she was a lone female that would make more sense, but there is a 10-year old missing too. You would think his school would be really calling attention to this by now!
