Here's No1 suspect in hunt for murder victim Melanie Hall's killer
"Convicted sex killer Marc Shillibier, 37, is already serving life for the vicious 1999 murder of teenager Rebecca Storrs, 18, who spurned his advances at a party.
The evil dad-of-two once confessed to a cellmate that he had also killed hospital worker Melanie [Hall], 25, whose remains were found in a bin bag on the side of the M5 this week - 13 years after she disappeared from a nightclub in Bath.
He later withdrew his claim - made three years after she vanished - and refused to co-operate with detectives investigating the disappearance.
He also stood trial in 1998 for the murder of a 45-year-old gay man who, it was claimed, he had picked up for sex and later stabbed and set alight.
He was acquitted but police made it clear they were not looking for anyone else in connection with the killing and always left the case open....
"There are people who think Shillibier should have been convicted of murder a year before he killed Rebecca Storrs. They also think he killed Melanie. Rebecca's mum Elizabeth is convinced he had killed before."
Shillibier walked free from Bristol Crown Court in October 1998 after being cleared of killing homosexual Kevin Muhyiddin [in Bath].
Mr Muhyiddin, 45, was murdered before being set alight in his plush apartment in February 1997. He was found kneeling against a bed with a knife in his back and a broken neck.
The trial also heard how he had met Mr Muhyiddin and a pal just a few hours before his death. The three returned to Mr Muhyiddin's flat and Shillibier attacked him after they had sex. His pal said Shillibier emerged from Mr Muhyiddin's room to announce: "I have killed him."
But Shillibier, who claimed he had been 40 miles away in Weston-super-Mare, "high on drugs", was cleared. Just five months later, back in his home town of Bridgend , South Wales, Rebecca Storrs became his victim. He lured her from a party at a mutual pal's house to his favourite courting spot behind a cash and carry store where it is thought she spurned his sexual advances.
Her mutilated body was found in a river seven hours later. She was smashed over the head with a hammer and suffered a horrific sex attack....
It is thought Melanie's parents Stephen, 65, and Pat, 64, have been made aware of Shillibier's possible connection to their daughter's death.
This is the man linked to the brutal killing and dismemberment of "bag of bones" murder victim Melanie Hall.

BEAST WHO FACED TRIAL FOR A GAY SEX MURDER; Killer cleared months before.
"IT WAS the second murder trial that savage Marc Shillibier had faced in as many years.
But this time a jury of seven women and five men took just 12 hours to find Shillibier guilty of the vile killing of pretty sixth-former Rebecca Storrs.
Five months before he killed the free-spirited schoolgirl, the former fish market worker was cleared of another murder just 60 miles away.
Shillibier, 33 today, walked free from court in October 1998 after he was cleared of stabbing the son of the former mayor of Bath.
Homosexual Kevin Muhyiddin was knifed in the back before being set alight with cooking oil in his plush apartment.
Shillibier was arrested and charged over the murder in February 1997 and spent 18 months on remand before standing trial at Bristol Crown Court.
A friend told the court that Shillibier emerged from the 45-year-old Muhyiddin's bedroom and announced: "I have killed him."
But he was cleared of the murder after telling the court he was committing a robbery 40 miles away in Weston-super-Mare.
Afterwards Shillibier told reporters: "I have spent nearly two years in jail for something I didn't do.
"I feel terrible. It was hell. I have known since day one that I was innocent."
The verdict at Cardiff Crown Court was last night welcomed by former mayor of Bath John Malloy.
Almost three years ago his son was found kneeling against a bed in his blazing flat.
During the trial that followed the court was told Shillibier and a friend met Kevin Muhyiddin in a well-known gay cruising area.
He allegedly went back to to the older man's flat and had sex with him.
Former naval commander Mr Malloy, 77, said: "I am very pleased Shillibier is going to be out of circulation for a very long time.
"This sentence will mean the public are safe from him for a long time.
"I just hope that when the judge says 22 years, that's what it means.
"I will always be convinced that he killed my son - nothing will convince me otherwise. But in Kevin's case the flat where the murder took place was set on fire and a lot of forensic evidence was lost.
"I was very concerned when I heard that this young girl's body had been dumped in a river - for the same reason.
"All I can say is that I am delighted Shillibier is now in prison.""
